The Boathouse Waterway Bar & Grill, Myrtle Beach
As the unofficial "Sunday Funday" spot at The Beach, the Boathouse's Backyard Concert Series is one of the area's best bets for summer fun. Every Sunday starting at 5 p.m., head out to the Boathouse’s waterfront stage along the Intracoastal Waterway to get a great dose of live music ranging from rock and country to hip-hop and reggae. Watch local, regional, and nationally-touring acts from April until Labor Day. Tin Roof Myrtle Beach
You will never have a boring evening at the Tin Roof. Offering live music every night, all summer long, this is a great place to catch up-and-coming acts who are touring the circuit of offshoot locations from this Nashville-based chain of live music venues. Tin Roof is located right on the beach — so the views are outstanding — and it is equipped with three bars, a large stage, and an open-air rooftop patio. Alabama Theatre, North Myrtle Beach
This awesome theater — named for Country Music Hall of Famers Alabama — is well-known for it's amazing ICONIC variety show. But what you may not know is that this venue also regularly hosts guest artists concerts from the likes of the Beach Boys, Three Dog Night, Josh Turner, Brett Young, and various tribute bands. Main Street North Myrtle Beach
Head to the famed "horseshoe" area along Ocean Boulevard for one of the area's longest-running summer concert series. Just steps from the iconic shag clubs along this stretch you'll find a variety of acts ranging from classic Carolina Beach Music to area's best country, rock, pop and funk. This great community event is a great chance to browse the local restaurants, shop, or unwind with a frosty beverage after a hot summer day. Make sure to bring a lawn chair and set up early as these popular events can get packed. The event is free to the public and will be every Thursday from 7-9 p.m. between June and September.
La Belle Amie Vineyard, Little River
La Belle Amie provides the perfect pairing of wine and music with its festival Saturdays every weekend throughout the summer. Each Saturday's festival has a fun theme — things like Trop Rock, Beach Bash or Parrothead Festival — and great cover and tribute acts to match. The schedule is announced three week prior to each show and Tickets are $12 plus fees for the concerts and $15 plus fees when including a wine tasting. Tickets can be booked online or purchased at the door (for a slightly higher cost).
House of Blues, North Myrtle Beach
Known as one of the area’s most popular concert venues, the House of Blues at Barefoot Landing, is also constantly serving up live music all summer long at its outdoor "The Deck" area. Enjoy this awesome patio area with plenty of room to dance, a large bar and a great restaurant with an on-site smokehouse. The Deck opens at 6 p.m. nightly with live acts from 7-11 p.m. including local and regionally touring acts. HOB's deck is also dog and kid-friendly, so this is a great spot for the whole family.
Brookgreen Gardens, Murrells Inlet
Come and witness Brookgreen's amazing sculpture gardens lit up at night and here some great live music from the area's top acts. Every Wednesday and Saturday from June to August guests can experience bands ranging from Jazz, Funk and Reggae to Classic Rock, Beach and 80s music. And the music is just an appetizer — the art is the main course. Experience sound and lights in Oak Allee, enjoy the Conway Glass display with upcycled wine bottles hanging from treetops, and enjoy the beauty of mother nature and local wildlife. Event starts each night at 6 p.m. Tickets will be $30 for adults, $17 for children 12 and under.
North Myrtle Beach Sports & Recreation Complex
Another initiative hosted by North Myrtle Beach Park and Recreation is the Sounds of Summer Concert Series. Located at the North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex amphitheater, this spot encourages families to come out for their tribute bands that will have four showings from June until September. Entrance is free, you just need to bring a chair or blanket to sit on. Tribute bands will include Meat Loaf, Fleetwood Mac, Shania Twain, and Santana.
The Market Common, Myrtle Beach
Myrtle Beach’s Uptown Downtown is you stop for great shopping, restaurants and entertainment this summer. This area offers live music and events all summer long with various "concerts on the green" in Valor Park. You can also catch tons of music throughout the complex including live Jazz at Travinia, acoustic acts at spots like Crepe Creation Café and Gordon Biersch, or full bands, DJs and karaoke at 810 Billiards & Bowling. The lineup is constantly changing and so there’s always something new. Spend an evening here walking around the ponds and taking in the fresh air after a nice night of songs.
Downtown Conway
If the summertime is too hot for you and you’re opting for a trip to the beach in the springtime, Downtown Conway has their concert series happening during May. Groovin’ on The Green will have live music on May 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, and 31st from 7:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. The event will feature local groups such as the City Lights Band, Chocolate Chip and Company Band, and the Bailey Road Band. Additionally, the concert series is hosted by the Chicora Car Club so you can view some hot rods while nodding along to the music.
Broadway at the Beach, Myrtle Beach
All summer long, Broadway at the Beach celebrates the essence of summer nights with a vibrant live music and entertainment series. Each night features an eclectic mix of live musicians, alongside colorful characters, stilt walkers, and face painters. Fireworks will also take place every Tuesday night at 10 p.m. and Fridays from June 23 - Aug. 11. The entire series, including the musical performances, is open to visitors free of charge.
Barefoot Landing, North Myrtle Beach
Once you’ve shopped until you’re ready to drop, stop by the Pepsi Stage in Dockside Village at Barefoot Landing to enjoy some of the area's best live musicians perform. Every Thursday and Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday afternoons from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. you can find live music on Barefoot's waterfront stage. There's also tons of great live music venues nearby including the House of Blues, Lulu's and Crooked Hammock Brewery.
