Did you know that Myrtle Beach has a Minor League Baseball team?
The Myrtle Beach Pelicans are an affiliate of the Chicago Cubs and play at Pelicans Ballpark, located across from Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach.
The club's 2024 campaign begins with Opening Day on April 5 and runs through through early September, with more than 60 home games filled with family fun and baseball action.
This season will also be a special one for the club as they celebrate its 25th Anniversary with a variety of promotions and celebrations throughout the year.
Weekly Promotions
Pelicans Ballpark is kept in pristine condition and the stadium offers the classic ballpark foods, favorite dishes with creative twists, craft beer, a picnic area, and a kids’ play area as well as event spaces. There's not much better than enjoying an all-American game of baseball at The Beach! The Pelicans offer weekly specials so both visitors and locals can participate in the fun. The specials include:
- Tuesday: $2 Tacos and Tallboys: Enjoy $2 tacos and $3 Modelo or Corona tallboys every Tuesday.
- Wednesday: Half Price Hot Dogs: Delicious Hebrew National hot dogs are half price all game long. Plus, dogs receive FREE admission when their owners purchase a Budweiser Bowtie Deck ticket.
- Thursday: World Famous Thirsty Thursday, features $2 12oz Bud and Bud light cans and $3 glasses of wine.
- Friday: Family Friday + Fireworks
- Saturday: Sippin’ Saturdays, will feature $2 12oz Michelob Ultra cans, and $3 glasses of wine, and a $25 mega mug mixed drinks.
- Sunday: Sunday Fun Day, fans can enjoy a pre-game catch on the field (open to all ages) 10 minutes after gates open.
- Pre-Game Autograph sessions: Autographs are available to all kids 12 & under Tuesday-Saturday home games. Weather/Field conditions permitting.

Post-Game Kids Run the Bases: Kids 12 and under can run the bases after every game on our firework nights! Weather and field conditions permitting.

Tickets & Seating
- Single game tickets can be purchased for as low as $15 per seat, and are on sale now at the Pelicans website.
- The good news, there's not a bad seat in the house. Whether you choose to sit behind home plate, down the base lines or in the outfield bleachers, you'll have a great view of the action. There's also specialty seating for groups including luxury suites, the Beach Party area and a picnic area.
- Families will also enjoy area like the in-park playground, inflatables and games for kids, a plaza near the Bullpen Grille designed to look like a baseball field where kids often play. There's also the Riptydz Rally Deck which features a large bar area and high-top tables with a great view of the field and the Clark & Addison Grille, which serves up great food and craft beer with nearby picnic tables for seating.
- Each game military personnel and first responders can save $3 when they show their badge or ID at the Box Office at Pelicans Ballpark or purchase their tickets online via GovX.
- Coming to a game with 15 or more people? Then book in advance to ensure your entire group will sit together. Plus, all groups have the option to maximize your experience with an array of pre-purchased items including discounted food vouchers.

Things to Know Before You Go
- Here are some tips for getting the most out of your Myrtle Beach Pelicans experience:
- Parking is FREE and the lot opens 2 hours before first pitch
- Gates open 60 minutes prior to first pitch
- This is a cashless ballpark. Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express is accepted at the Box Office and throughout the ballpark. Additionally, all concession points of sale and the Pro Shop accept Apple Pay and Google Pay. A limited number of windows at the Box Office continue to accept cash.
- The Pelicans have partnered with South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs to provide sensory bags for fans to use while enjoying games.
- A game becomes official after 4.5 innings when the home team has the lead. Otherwise, 5 full innings of play must be completed for a game to be official. If a game is stopped before becoming official or before starting, ticket stubs may be exchanged at the Pelicans Box Office for any home game during the regular season, based upon availability. There are no refunds.
- The Pelicans' team has a bat dog, Slider that runs out on the field to clear off the baseball bats and with every Pelicans win he runs a victory lap around the bases!

About the Club
The Pelicans are a part of the Carolina League's South Division, they will face opponents which includes the Charleston RiverDogs (Tampa Bay Rays), Columbia Fireflies (Kansas City Royals), and Augusta GreenJackets. The 2024 season marks the 25th year of Myrtle Beach Pelicans baseball, and the tenth year as an affiliate to the Chicago Cubs.
The Pelicans' Stadium was ranked as the top ballpark in the Carolina League by Baseball America in 2009 and has consistently delivered great in-stadium experiences since the club was founded in 1999.
With the 25th season comes a new logo, the design includes elements from the club’s primary logo while also adding new elements to signify the milestone. These new elements include:
- Four stars – one for each league championship
- The use of a diamond as the containing shape
- Incorporating a silver tone, which is a link to the traditional material used when celebrating a 25th anniversary
The Pelicans most recently won a Carolina League championship in 2016 but had won 3 championships prior.
