We know what you're thinking; it's time to relax and treat yourself to your dream vacation! And an excursion to The Beach is certainly what the doctor ordered.

In order to make the most of your visit, we've come up with five handy tips to help you plan for that perfect vacation getaway!

1. Find the Perfect Place to Stay

From resorts with all the amenities to quiet beach houses, there is something for everyone's taste and budget in Myrtle Beach. Choose from kiddie pools, lazy rivers, on-site restaurants, golf courses or tennis courts or anything else your heart may desire.

2. Book a Non-stop Flight

What's better than getting to The Beach faster?! Myrtle Beach International Airport has undergone significant expansion in recent years, translating to more choices for air travelers and over 50 non-stop destinations. Southwest, Allegiant, and Spirit - to name a few - all offer seasonal direct flights to Myrtle Beach from a variety of cities - from New York and Cleveland to Lexington and Nashville.

3. Plan Your Experiences

Myrtle Beach's 60 miles have something for everyone in your crew - it's the place to find where you belong and be your best beach self! Check out the new sloth exhibit at Ripley's Aquarium, ride on the 187-feet tall oceanfront SkyWheel, or spend the afternoon on the water jet skii or parasailing - the options are endless.

If you are looking to relax, seek an array of stress-free activities in one location, like window shopping at Barefoot Landing or admiring the stunning sculptures and flora at Brookgreen Gardens.

4. Go to The Beach!

Duh! Make sure you take time to enjoy the area's biggest asset: The Beach. Build a sandcastle in North Myrtle Beach, get close to the bustling action at the Boardwalk in central Myrtle Beach, or watch sea turtles in their natural habitat at Huntington Beach State Park. And, with air and water temperatures that remain mild year-round, you can take a dip in the ocean from spring well into the fall.

5. Try a New Restaurant

The Myrtle Beach area has over 2,000 restaurants to choose from ranging in all kinds of cuisines. From the freshest seafood to fine dining, you can explore all the flavors of The Beach while on vacation. We also have a few regional dishes that are worth checking out - try shrimp & grits at Hook & Barrel, hushpuppies at Sea Captain's House, or chicken bog at Big Mike's Soul Food. You will eat happy here at The Beach!
