Events This September in Myrtle Beach

Labor Day typically marks the end of Summer, but the fun in Myrtle Beach is just getting started. The fall season is jam-packed with festivals and events to keep you busy nearly every weekend! We’ve got live music events, food festivals, fireworks, and baseball in addition to our already amazing attractions and family-friendly beaches.
Waves of Praise Gospel Fest
The Waves of Praise Gospel Fest is back at The Beach this September 2 through 3, 2022. This event features some of the most famous gospel artists including Damon Little and Shirley Caesar to Burroughs and Chapin Pavilion Place, right next to the beach.
Brookgreen Gardens Labor Day 5K
Lace up your running (or walking) shoes and hit the pavement at the 9th annual Labor Day 5K at Brookgreen Gardens. The 5K will wind through the beautiful scenic gardens and begins promptly at 6 p.m. Sunday, September 4. Strollers are welcome and awards will be given in several age brackets. Visitors are permitted at no cost when they arrive with you the day of the race.
Beach ‘N Chili Fest
The World Championship Chili Cookoff is having its 55th annual competition which will be held in Myrtle Beach for the second year! Sample more than 100 different chilis from around the country and see who will be crowned the winner. They’ll also host food trucks, live music, family fun zone, a Beer Garden, and a VIP Lounge. The event will be held September 23-25, 2022 at the Burroughs & Chapin Pavilion Place.

Dancing with the Celts
Lead Irish Dancer Melanie Valdes will lead the stage on Dancing with the Celts at The Carolina Opry. Award-winning Irish Musicians will accompany the amazing dancers live on stage right here in Myrtle Beach. Dancing with the Celts will be held one night only at 7 p.m. Sunday, September 25. Tickets start at $56 and are on sale now.
Myrtle Beach Bike Week Fall Rally
The Myrtle Beach Bike Week Fall Rally is set for September 26 through October 2, 2022. Thousands of bikers will head to the beach for fun, comradery, and great weather. Both Myrtle Beach Harley Davidson locations will host cruise-ins, parties, rides, and plenty of fun each day of the rally. Famed hangouts along the Grand Strand include the Beaver Bar, Suck Bang Blow, The Rat Hole, Causeways Grill, and many more.
Lorrie Morgan at Alabama Theatre
Famed country singer Lorrie Morgan will perform songs from her new album Letting Go…Slow live at the Alabama Theatre in North Myrtle Beach. Morgan is best known for her hits like “Watch Me,” “I Didn’t Know My Own Strength,” “Except for Monday,” and “Five Minutes.” She will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday, September 17. Tickets start at $45.
Myrtle Beach Pelicans Home Games
The Myrtle Beach Pelicans will play at home September 6-11 with Tacos and Tallboys on Tuesday; Weiner Wednesday; Thirsty Thursday; Family Friday with Fireworks after the game; Bark in the Park (dogs welcome in the Thirst Inning Deck); and Sunday Funday. Cheer on our Birds as they close out the 2022 summer baseball season!

Fireworks
Join Barefoot Landing at 10 p.m. Saturday, September 3 for a fun night of fireworks to enjoy with your whole family. Broadway at the Beach will host a dazzling fireworks show at 10 p.m. Sunday, September 4 to celebrate the long Labor Day weekend. Be sure to check out the amazing restaurants, attractions, shows, and things to do before each fireworks display.
I Love Seafood Fest

The exciting food festival promises the freshest catch from our oceans including Giant Maine Lobster Tails, Maryland Crab Cakes, Florida Jumbo Shrimp, Jumbo Blue Crabs, Carolina Croaker, and much more. They’ll also host live food demonstrations, visits with Food Network stars, live entertainment, and a beer bar. VIP and VIP Elite tickets are available, including an array of food, an open bar, prime seating, and more.
