Myrtle Beach Internation Airport achieves GBAC STAR™ Facility Accreditation

The Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) is proud to announce its latest accomplishment in earning GBAC STAR™ Facility Accreditation from the Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC). MYR is just the 8th airport in the world, and the only airport in the Carolinas and Georgia, to achieve this coveted accreditation.

GBAC STAR™ is the cleaning industry’s only outbreak prevention, response and recovery accreditation for facilities and is the new gold standard for cleanliness. The program is performance-based and designed to help facilities establish a comprehensive system of cleaning, disinfection, and infectious disease prevention for their staff and their building. The program relies on GBAC’s comprehensive training, which teaches the proper protocols, correct disinfection techniques, and cleaning best practices for biohazard situations like the novel coronavirus. Once you've arrived, don't fret over transportation to your ultimate destination. Ride-sharing options, Coast RTA and several automobile rental agencies, taxi companies, and limousine services are available to take you where you need to go.

The Airport Visitor Center hours vary by season. Scheduling at the airport will be based on flight arrivals and not a set time each day.

In addition to the Myrtle Beach International Airport, there are several other local airports serving the private and corporate sectors.

Beach Aviation Services is a full-service general aviation facility located at Myrtle Beach International Airport.  Other locations include Grand Strand Airport located in North Myrtle Beach between U.S. 17 and the Intracoastal Waterway and Conway-Horry County Airport, located west of Conway on Hwy. 378.  All three FBO’s provide services including parking, refueling, and maintenance.  For more information, visit BeachAviationServices.com.

The Loris-Twin Cities Airport, two miles northeast of Loris, is an unattended, public-use airport.

IMPORTANT NOTICE CONCERNING CHECK-IN TIMES: Passengers are encouraged to check-in a minimum of two hours prior to flight departure for domestic travel and three hours for international travel.
