1931 Brookgreen Garden Dr, Murrells Inlet
Brookgreen Gardens has long been one of the area's top attractions, filled with floral beauty, wildlife and the largest figurative sculpture collection in the U.S. For 2025, it has unveiled a brand-new Simpson Art Center featuring a sculpture conservation lab and interactive artist studios. The 4,000-square-foot space will host demonstrations and workshops. From May to August , the "Gardens of Glass" exhibit will transform the gardens into a dazzling spectacle of larger-than-life glass sculptures, bringing a mesmerizing new experience to this iconic Lowcountry attraction.
Myrtle Beach Mall
Get ready to take your taste buds on a wild ride—Downtown Flavortown is here! Created by celebrity chef Guy Fieri, this larger-than-life restaurant and family fun hangout serves up his signature bold flavors in an entertainment complex featuring an arcade, duckpin bowling alley, and tiki bar. The restaurant features over-the-top burgers, wings, and classic Fieri creations in a high-energy setting. Enjoy craft cocktails, test your skills in the gaming area, or kick back in the retro-inspired bowling lounge.
Broadway at the Beach, Myrtle Beach
Ole Smoky Distillery and Yee-Haw Brewing Co. have teamied up to bring a taste of Tennessee to The Beach! This new, massive complex features a distillery, brewpub restaurant, tasting room, retail space and guided tours. A great gathering place in the heart of Broadway, it offers great BBQ and Southern-inspired dining and is the perfect spot to kick back on the patio for some live music or to catch a game on two of the largest screens in Myrtle Beach.
Experience the Grand Strand from a whole new perspective aboard Pedal Pub's signature 15-seat party bike, now offering tours in both historic downtown Conway and downtown Myrtle Beach. In Conway, the popular 21+ Pedals & Pints tour winds along the riverfront with stops at local favorites like Chanti's, Bonfire, and Palmetto Taps. Opened in spring 2026, Pin Point is Little River’s newest sports-and-social destination, and it has quickly become a go-to for groups and friendly competition. Under one roof you’ll find nine pickleball courts, seven indoor golf simulators with a full short-game practice area, and a full-service bar and restaurant. Flexible event spaces make it a smart pick for private parties and corporate gatherings, and the climate-controlled setup means it’s a rain-or-shine outing any time of year.

Carolina Forest’s first craft brewery, offers a relaxed taproom and locally brewed small-batch beers with a fun outdoor area that hosts live music, and offers plenty of room for the family to spread out and play. There's plenty of games for adults and kids to play, a huge screen for watching the game outdoors and a scenic walking path that wraps around a lake to sister restaurant The Sneaky Beagle. Updates & Expansions for 2026
Flying to Myrtle Beach is easier than ever thanks to the completion of Myrtle Beach International Airport's $93.5 million, 50,000-square-foot expansion to Concourse A. The project added six new gates, expanded passenger waiting areas, upgraded amenities, two new dining options, and a new long-term economy parking lot with more than 1,200 additional spaces, making arrivals and departures smoother than ever. MYR also continues to expand its nonstop service, with new routes including Southwest to Houston; Breeze Airways to Manchester, N.H., Orlando, Pittsburgh, and Portland, Maine; Allegiant to Atlantic City; and Contour Airlines to Beckley and Parkersburg, West Virginia, and Altoona, Pennsylvania. Whether it's your first trip or your fiftieth, getting to The Beach has never been more convenient.
21st Avenue North, Myrtle Beach
Catching a Myrtle Beach Pelicans game is even better in 2026 thanks to a $20 million renovation of Pelicans Ballpark. Fans will notice brand-new seating throughout the stadium, a massive high-definition video board, upgraded LED displays, an enhanced sound system, expanded premium viewing areas, and a new event space overlooking the field. The improvements make one of Myrtle Beach's best family outings even more comfortable, immersive, and entertaining, whether you're there for the baseball, the postgame fireworks, or one of the team's famous theme nights.
Downtown Myrtle Beach continues its transformation with new investments that make the oceanfront more vibrant, walkable, and inviting. One of the most noticeable additions is a new seven-block stretch of decorative bistro-style lighting along Ocean Boulevard, creating an even more welcoming atmosphere for evening strolls between the Boardwalk, SkyWheel, restaurants, shops, and attractions. North Myrtle Beach's Park & Sports Complex has become an even bigger destination for families and outdoor enthusiasts following a major expansion completed in late 2025. In addition to five new soccer fields, six new baseball fields, scenic walking trails, shaded picnic areas, and expanded spectator seating, visitors will also find two new playgrounds where kids can burn off energy between games. New for 2026, the complex also debuted the Cypress Nook Disc Golf Course, an 18-hole course winding through a beautiful cypress forest that offers a fun challenge for both experienced players and first-timers. Whether you're in town for a tournament, spending the day at Shark Wake Park, or simply looking for another way to enjoy the outdoors, there's now even more to discover.
One of Myrtle Beach's classic oceanfront resorts has entered a new chapter with a renovated exterior and completely reimagined lobby that gives Captain's Quarters Resort a bright, modern coastal feel from the moment guests arrive. Myrtle Beach’s brewery scene continues to grow with 357 Brewers, a new waterfront brewery and taproom opening in summer 2026. This $6.4 million facility will feature a 15-barrel brewing system, an outdoor beer garden with scenic Intracoastal Waterway views, and an upscale pub menu. Designed as a social hub, 357 Brewers will offer a rotating lineup of craft beers, small-batch specialties, and events like live music and beer tastings, making it a prime spot to enjoy a cold brew with a coastal backdrop.
3607 Hwy 17 S., North Myrtle Beach
Alley Oops is an Ocean City, Maryland-based restaurant bringing its "Dine. Bowl. Play." concept to the Myrtle Beach in 2026. This family-friendly venue willcombine great food with high-energy entertainment, offering seafood, burgers, and American classics alongside bowling lanes, arcade games, and virtual reality experiences. The original location features everything from ropes courses to a live shark tank, and while details for Myrtle Beach are still in development, it promises the same exciting mix of food and fun.
Family Kingdom marks its 60th anniversary in 2026, celebrating a huge milestone for the area's only seaside amusement park. It's a great time to recapture some nostalgia with classic rides like the Swap Fox roller coaster, the ferris wheel, log flume or pistolero dark ride. Slated to open in 2027, the park also recently announced a new custom RMC single-track roller coaster, which 100 ft tall, 50 mph thrills is slated to be more than 100 feet tall and move at speeds of over 50 mph.
Broadway at The Beach
SurfWorks is bringing wave-riding excitement to Myrtle Beach with a 5.5-acre surf lagoon capable of producing perfect, rideable waves on demand. Designed for all skill levels, the park will offer lessons for beginners and advanced waves for experienced surfers. Beyond surfing, the massive complex will feature an amphitheater, beachside bungalows, and a central hub with restaurants, bars, and retail. Expected to open in 2027, SurfWorks will be a must-visit for thrill-seekers and beach lovers alike.

The Conway Riverwalk expansion is now open and makes this historic waterfront area even more walkable and inviting. The new section seamlessly connects Main Street to the Waccamaw River, featuring floating docks, fixed decks, and an extended pedestrian bridge over the railroad tracks. Enjoying a scenic walk, stop by for a meal at a riverfront restaurant, or attending one of Conway’s signature festivals, this expansion enhances the charming small-town atmosphere of this historic community. Keep an eye out for new public art installations and interactive signage that highlight Conway’s rich history along the way.

Opened in 2026, The Ellie Beach Resort is a dual-branded Hilton property combining the relaxed luxury of Tapestry by Hilton with the family-friendly amenities of DoubleTree Resort. Located along Myrtle Beach’s scenic southern shores, this resort offers six pools, three waterslides, oceanfront rooms, beach access, and on-site dining. Surfside Beach has a brand-new mini golf adventure making a splash with families and adding to the 30+ miniature golf courses that make our area the Mini Golf Capital of the World. Mulligan’s Lagoon is a surfer-themed 18-hole miniature golf course featuring tiki torches, beachy obstacles, and winding waterfalls. An indoor arcade adds to the fun, making this a great spot for both day and night entertainment.

Jack Axe Throwing, located in North Myrtle near Atlantic Beach, has been in business for a few years, but has expanded into a full-fledged entertainment hub with several new interactive experiences. In addition to axe throwing, visitors can enjoy an indoor golf simulator, a “Floor Is Lava” challenge room, and "Turbo Quiz" a high-energy trivia experience where visitors race to get the right answer. These unique experiences are great indoor fun for the family or a group of friends.

From the team behind beloved Lowcountry staples like Quigley’s Pint & Plate, The Quad is Pawleys Island’s newest go-to for great beer, live music, and laid-back community vibes. Surfside Beach / Socastee Area
Grocery shopping is about to get a lot more exciting—Trader Joe’s is officially coming to the Myrtle Beach area. Construction is underway at Sayebrook Town Center, with an expected opening in 2025. Known for its unique products, affordable prices, and cult-favorite snacks, this specialty grocer will be a major addition to the Grand Strand. With shelves stocked full of organic produce, frozen favorites, and must-have pantry staples, Trader Joe’s will bring a much-needed shopping option to locals and visitors alike.
Various Locations Around the Area
Myrtle Beach has long been known as the Golf Capital of the World, and now, the trend of indoor and virtual golf experiences is booming. Several new indoor golf facilities have opened across the Grand Strand for 2025, including the Twin Peaks TopGolf Swing Suite, which allows guests to practice their swing virtually or try a variety of other fun sports experiences. Other high-tech indoor simulators include Mashie Golf Institute in Myrtle Beach, Performance Indoor Golf in Pawleys Island and Golfluent in Little River. Of course, there's also TopGolf, which provides a hybrid between "virtual" golf and real golf in an arcade-like atmosphere.

After several years of operating as a nanobrewery inside Buzz’s Roost Restaurant, Winyah Bay Brewing Co. has launched its own standalone brewery in historic downtown Georgetown. This new spot offers small-batch craft beers brewed on-site, inspired by the coastal Lowcountry. With a relaxed taproom and outdoor seating, Winyah Bay Brewing is the most recent addition to a growing number of breweries and beer experiences that make the Myrtle Beach Beer Trail a fun way to explore the Grand Strand area and beyond.

Known for his great live music and as the emcee at Alabama Theater for 22 seasons, country star Greg Rowles launched a brand-new theater of his own this spring. This awesome show will take the audience through the decades paying homage to the legacy of great music of all genres with performances by ensembles, comedians, musicians, magicians and more. With fun audience participation elements and a rotating lineup of songs, no two nights are alike, so come enjoy the fun!
Broadway at the Beach, Myrtle Beach
New to Broadway at the Beach is a Tiger Woods-backed golf attraction called PopStroke — the latest addition to the Myrtle Beach Mini Golf Trail. Located next to The Hangout, PopStroke has two 18-hole putting courses that are made to resemble an actual golf course. It has fairways, sand traps, and unique holes to play along the way. While you play, you can also indulge in a full menu of tasty food and order your drinks directly to the course with the Popstroke app. The facility also has a jumbotron to track your scores throughout the round, a playground for the little ones, and a fun patio area filled with games like cornhole, ping pong and more. Cost is $30 per person for all-day play from March 1 until October 15 and $25 for all-day play from October 16 until March 1.

Surfside's pier is back and better than ever! The pier, which was destroyed in 2016 due to Hurricane Matthew, has been through years of renovations. It is now completed with a new look and features to accommodate people and the local sea life. There are now cement holdings in the pier instead of only wood, so it is guaranteed to stay sturdy for decades to come. On the pier you can enjoy Drippy’s Homemade Ice Cream or check out Perry's Bait & Tackle Shop — and more eateries are coming soon! Admission is free to walk the pier, but if you want to fish, there will be fees. Alcohol from businesses on the pier will be allowed for consumption, however, the alcohol cannot leave the pier nor can outside alcohol be brought onto the pier. Surfside Pier is open from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m. daily.

Myrtle Beach waves is a family favorite that’s been around for years. This park has been voted as one of the top 11 waterparks in the country and has become a tradition for many visitors. New for 2024, Myrtle Waves is introducing a new slide called Wild Water Racers, a mat slide that allows four people to race against each other to the bottom. Longtime area visitors may recognize the slide, as it was transported over from Wild Water & Wheels in Surfside Beach, a park that closed last summer.

Palmetto Taps brings Conway’s first self-serve taproom, offering a wide selection of craft beers, ciders, and wines. Featuring over 40 rotating taps, visitors can pour their own drinks and sample different styles at their own pace. The taproom also includes a local boutique shop, showcasing artisanal goods, gifts, and specialty foods. Located in the heart of historic Conway, Palmetto Taps is a must-visit for craft beer lovers looking for a unique, interactive tasting experience.
