Muzika! The Grand Strand Music Festival Returns June 2024

Do you hear that? It’s the sound of Muzika! The Grand Strand Music Festival returns to the beach this summer from June 14 to June 20! Nine world-class performances will take place at Grand Strand venues. Expect to be blown away by fully staged operas, musical theater and choral-orchestral productions, Broadway anthems, voice recitals, and more.

We’ve gathered the details on each of these performances in chronological order … You just need to pick the ones you plan to attend, buy tickets, and put Muzika! on your calendar!

"Messa Di Gloria" by Giacomo Puccini

June 14, 7 p.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, Murrells Inlet

Captivating sacred music featuring two male soloists, choir, and orchestra. Engage in the musical experience of Giacomo Puccini through one of his esteemed choral works, as we mark 100 years since the composer's passing.

Baroque to the Future with Levon Ambartsumian, Violin and Shakhida Azimkhodjaeva, Violin and Viola

"Some Enchanted Evening" with David Crawford, Bass-Baritone, The Metropolitan Opera

June 16, 7 p.m. at Winyah Auditorium, Georgetown

An evening of Arias, songs, and more spanning from the Baroque era to today. Enjoy a recital, featuring Lynn Kompass on piano, of familiar works and perhaps find a few new favorites along the way.

The Female Voice in Word and Song "Un Voix de Femme" with Renee Tatum, Mezzo-Soprano, The Metropolitan Opera

June 17, 7 p.m. at Winyah Auditorium, Georgetown

Featuring all-female composters from opera and musical theatre. With singers from Varna International's Broadway Revue and pianist, Jamila Hla-Shwe. Enjoy popular songs from Broadway performances from Golden Age classics to musicals of today.

Serenata Italiana

June 18, 7 p.m. at Trinity Church, Myrtle Beach

Be transported and transformed with emotional intensity as Varna International's finest vocalists perform selections from Italian masters such as Verdi, Bellini, and Donizetti.
