For over 30 years, Broadway at the Beach has been serving tourists and locals alike. With local boutiques, award-winning restaurants, a walkable design, and constant events, there’s always something for everyone. Grab your friends and family to spend a day (or two) at Broadway, with the list of things we’ve made for you.

PopStroke
1. PopStroke

Being that Myrtle Beach is the Golf Capital of the World, it only makes sense that we keep adding more and more golf-related activities for everyone to join in on. Popstroke, new to The Beach in early 2024, is a large mini golf adventure with two 18-hole putting courses. The courses mimic a normal course with fairways, bunkers, and trick shots, but all of it is played with a putter! In between games, take a break at the onsite restaurant that has a variety of top-tier dishes, or if you want to order drinks, make your order and have them delivered to you directly on your course, so you never have to worry about missing a shot. There are also things for children, such as a playground, outdoor games, and an ice cream parlor.

Ripley's Aquarium of Myrtle Beach
2. Ripley's Aquarium

A staple of the Grand Strand, Ripley’s Aquarium has been showing guests what octopus, eels, penguins, fish, jellies, and loads of other sea creatures look like ever since 1997. Myrtle Beach was the first city to have an aquarium by Ripley Entertainment, and friends and families have been loving every minute of it. Visit special exhibitions that the aquarium holds throughout the year for some extra fun, or go on any day to get a chance to walk underneath the sharks or touch the belly of a sting ray.

local's fav The Hangout
3. The Hangout

This is your one-stop shop for your visit to The Beach. With live music, good food, performances, shopping, and events, The Hangout has it all. Operating since 2022, the venue is expansive, featuring an outdoor amphitheater and lawn seating, plus an indoor restaurant that opens to the outside during pleasant weather. Visit for daily trivia, foam hour, free arcade evenings, or to grab some Southern-style seafood.

WonderWorks
4. WonderWorks

Whoever said that learning and fun don’t go hand in hand? WonderWorks, “an amusement park for the mind,” has more than 100 exhibits to try that test creativity and imagination. With three floors inside an upside-down house, you can see illusions, withstand extreme weather, lie on a bed of nails, get behind an astronaut space suit, and more. Then head to the top floor to end your trip with an extreme ropes course, 6D simulator ride, or laser tag.

5. Soar + Explore

Right next to WonderWorks, soar 50 feet above the water on a zipline that stretches 1,000 feet. It’s a smooth ride with great views of Broadway; however, it’s a seasonal attraction since it’s outdoors and doesn’t operate as normal during the colder months.

Pavilion Park Broadway at The Beach Carousel
6. Pavilion Park

You have the choice to either give into the nostalgia of the ’80s with rides that never go out of style, or jump on a thrill seeker that will have you clenching your fists as you’re slung into the air - or do both! Pavilion Park at Broadway has been bringing friends and family together for years. Whether it’s riding the Wave Swinger together, sitting on the Rock & Roll Express, or screaming on the Drop Tower, you’re sure to never forget it. Spend the afternoon trying all the rides, then end your day with a ride on the Broadway 360 Observation Wheel to take in some of the best Carolina sunsets.

local's fav Dave & Buster's
7. Dave & Buster's

The motto is to eat and play at the same time. Dave & Buster’s is essentially a huge game room for kids and adults alike. Play nostalgic games like skee-ball, try the latest VR video game, or head into the billiards hall for a few rounds, then order food and drinks for your party. Dave & Buster’s also runs special deals throughout the week with discounts on food, drinks, and games, so check their website in advance to plan your visit.

8. Eateries

At Broadway at the Beach, there are more than 20 restaurants offering all your food favorites, from Mexican and burgers to seafood, BBQ, and more.

While every spot is worth a visit, a few go-to favorites include Hard Rock Cafe, a staple when visiting a new city with rock-and-roll décor lining the walls and a giant guitar perfect for photos; Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville, where it’s always five o’clock somewhere and margaritas come big alongside nachos or juicy burgers; Joe’s Crab Shack, the go-to spot for seafood boils and crab legs drenched in your seasoning of choice; Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen, which feels like Thanksgiving every day with family-style Southern classics like fried chicken, meatloaf, and cheesy grits; and Wahlburgers, owned by the Wahlberg family and known for standout burgers paired with sweet potato tots or truffle fries.

Broadway is known for a lot of things, and nightlife is one of them. With spots to dance, catch live music, enjoy live shows, or sing karaoke, there’s no shortage of fun after dark. Catch a performance at Broadway Theater for a night of live entertainment, then head to Señor Frog’s to enjoy seafood and Mexican favorites before the space transforms into a high-energy nightclub complete with strobe lights and live DJs. If you’re in the mood for something more laid-back, Crocodile Rocks Dueling Piano Bar delivers an energetic mix of crowd-favorite songs, where you might hear everything from Lady Gaga and Billy Joel to Katy Perry—all in one visit.
