Make It An Educational Adventure For Kids Day

  By  Visit Myrtle Beach

It is super easy to make an unforgettable day for an educational adventure for kids on our glorious sunny coast in Myrtle Beach! Begin with state parks, both Myrtle Beach State Park and Huntington Beach State Park offer patch programs for children as they learn about nature, animals, how to be a Forest Ranger, and more. The kids can also enjoy fishing from the piers, hiking trails, swimming, bike trails, historical tours, and scavenger hunts!

At the Waccatee Zoo in Myrtle Beach, kids will see over 100 different species of animals on 500 acres of land! Your children will love seeing buffalo, zebra, lions, tigers, and chimpanzees. At Alligator Adventure, located at Barefoot Landing, the kids will see tons of gators as well as gray wolves, rare snakes, kangaroos, and crocodiles.

Kids love dolphins! Myrtle Beach is a fabulous location for eco-tourism with dolphin tours available from many area companies like Express Watersports. Go on a Jet Ski or kayak eco-tour to see dolphins and turtles up close and personal! Your group can also take a boat tour on a catamaran with Rover Tours on the Waccamaw River and the Intracoastal Waterway to see the wildlife of the lowcountry bays.

Myrtle Beach also has a state-of-the-art saltwater aquarium in Ripley's Aquarium, located at Broadway at the Beach. Ride a 330-foot conveyor through the aquarium, through an amazing acrylic clear-windowed tunnel filled with thousands of different types of oceanic life. See giant sharks, stingrays, sea turtles, and moray eels up close! There is even a pool where kids can touch the stingrays and learn all about them.

Enjoyable adventures of the brain await kids at WonderWorks. This fun laboratory takes you to an upside-down world with over 100 fabulous kid-friendly exhibits. Participate in Lazer Tag games, or Soar + Explore on a zip line. Wonderworks has many mind-expanding educational programs. What a great place to celebrate children's birthdays!

EdVenture Children's Museum is a great place for kids to touch, explore and play as they learn about the world around them. From various exciting educational programs, kids will learn about building, dress, and play as pirates, electricity, art, puppet shows, gem mining, animals, weather, reading, and writing. You can also plan a birthday party for your child in the museum!

The family-friendly Myrtle Beach area has endless accommodations, conveniently located near attractions for kids, for families focused on expanding the minds of their children!
