Best Farmers Markets to Visit in Myrtle Beach & the Grand Strand

Across the 60 miles of the Grand Strand, you'll find a rich tradition of agriculture still thriving today. With deep farming roots stretching back generations, our area offers a unique chance to experience that heritage firsthand. You can explore it for yourself at living history destinations like L.W. Paul Living History Farm, Freewoods Farm, Thompson Farm, and Brookgreen Gardens.
Alongside these immersive sites, the Grand Strand is home to a vast array of Farmers' Markets featuring the freshest local produce. Throughout the summer and fall, many of the 14 communities in our area host weekly markets, giving visitors and locals alike the opportunity to enjoy fresh-picked fruits and veggies straight from the source.
Did you know there are many benefits to eating local produce, too? Not only does buying local help support our economy and local families, but fruits and vegetables grown nearby tend to have more nutrients and better flavor since they haven’t been sitting in transit for days.
Farmers' markets also offer a more personal connection—you can ask how your food was grown, what’s in season, and discover new favorite items. Plus, local shopping is a win for the environment, reducing food waste and your carbon footprint. Win-win!
