October Events at The Market Common Celebrate Fall Fun and Grand Strand History

The Market Common in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, has an array of fun fall events set for October 2019. On each Tuesday in October, from 5 – 8 PM, Complimentary Hayrides will be held across from the Grand 14 Theater on Reed Street.  Complimentary Haunted Carriage Rides driven by the Headless Coachman, himself, return on Halloween evening from 5 – 8 PM, on the corner of Howard Avenue and Nevers Street. It is an annual highlight of The Market Common’s Hometown Halloween. This local family tradition draws thousands of costumed children, adults and pets to trick-or-treat at the stores, restaurants and entertainment venues of The Market Common. An outdoor Monster Mash dance party for children and adults will be held on the Grand 14 Theater Plaza from 5 – 7 PM, which are the same hours for the trick-or-treating. All of the above activities are free and don’t require tickets.

Due to the overwhelming response to the sold-out September event, there will be an Encore Presentation of The Market Common SHAG 30th Anniversary Celebration Dinner on Saturday, October 26th (costumes welcomed) from 4 – 6 PM (Early Seating) and 7 – 9 PM (Second Seating). The private screening of the beloved movie made and set in Myrtle Beach will be held at Tupelo Honey where guests will enjoy upscale southern fare while hearing the story behind the making of the motion picture.

The Market Common Military History Trolley Tour and Reception will have its second tour of its third season on Friday, October 25th, from 2 – 4 PM.  A new addition this year just in time for Halloween is The Market Common Local Ghosts, Historic Folk & Pirates Trolley Tour that will feature a brief stop at Brookgreen Gardens and a tour of the “castle,” Atalaya, at Huntington Beach State Park. For more information and links to purchase tickets for the SHAG dinners and trolley tours, go to MarketCommonMB.com/events
