About this Event
The 2025 Horry County Museum Documentary Film Series continues with D-Day Remembered. This locally produced documentary profiles the events of "Operation Overlord," the Allied invasion of German-occupied France, which began on "D-Day" June 6, 1944. The joint military operation involved more than 150,000 Allied troops, almost 5,000 ships and landing craft, 13,000 aircraft, 3,500 airborne gliders, and more than 2-million tons of equipment. The film is free to the public and will be shown at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, June 4th, at the Horry County Museum, located at 805 Main Street in Conway. The Horry County Museum Documentary Film Matinees will continue throughout 2025. For a list of films, visit our website at www.horrycountymuseum.org.
