More To Love
Lakewood Camping Resort started in 1959 as one of the first family-owned campgrounds on the Grand Strand and has since grown into a premier vacation destination. Today, it offers over 1,000 full hook-up campsites and a wide variety of vacation rental homes and camper rentals. Complete with its own waterpark, pools, lazy river, and splash pad, Lakewood combines resort-style amenities with the neighborly culture of camping. Guests enjoy year-round organized activities, beachfront sports, unique dining options, and interactive experiences.
Every weekend in October, the resort transforms into Hall-O-Wood—the biggest Halloween bash on the beach—featuring golf cart parades, trick-or-treating, a live Halloween show, and more. But the celebrations don’t stop there! Lakewood hosts lively parades, spectacular holiday events, concerts, and cook-offs all year long, making every stay feel like a special occasion.
Lakewood is also home to High Steppin’ Country, the only oceanfront variety show on the Grand Strand, entertaining guests with singing, dancing, and high-energy performances since 1976.
Named the OHI National Mega Park of the Year in 2024, Lakewood isn’t just a place to stay; it’s a place to celebrate, make memories, and keep the good times rolling for generations to come!
