Cinco de Mayo is always a great reason to celebrate and indulge in some of the best Mexican food around town. Whether you want drinks with ocean views or just great, authentic Mexican food, the Grand Strand has it all! Here are ten great places to celebrate Cinco de Mayo in Myrtle Beach and all along the Grand Strand.

1. Senor Frogs

The countdown to Cinco de Mayo is on at Senor Frogs at Broadway at the Beach. They have daily shows and contests as well as cold drinks and delicious food in a crazy fun atmosphere.

2. 5 de Mayo Mexican Restaurant

Party time! This Sunday Big Cinco de Mayo Party Specials on Margaritas and a Surprise Show in the Restaurant Parking Lot from 11 AM Until 10 PM!

3. Abuelos Mexican Restaurant

Fiesta Mexicana is hosting a Cinco de Mayo Festival with indoor and outdoor live entertainment and plenty of drink specials. The party starts at 11 a.m. Sunday, May 5.

7. La Hacienda Mexican Restaurant

This family-owned restaurant has ice cold beer, frozen margaritas with just the right amount of tang and a fun, casual atmosphere. Get there early for tasty combos with Chili Rellenos, tostadas, tacos and more

Each Nacho Hippo location will have $3 house margarita specials along with their tasty and unique taco creations.

9. Taco Mundo Kitchen Y Cantina

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with fantastic waterway views and a huge bash at Taco Mundo at Barefoot Landing. They’ll have tons of food and drink specials served all day long and live music from Julio and the Saltines from 1-5 p.m. Taco Mundo is celebrating all week long from the 1st-5th with live music, dancing and fun for the whole family.

Shelbi Ankiewicz

Shelbi Ankiewicz is a senior at Coastal Carolina University studying communication, journalism, and intercultural studies. She is originally from Montgomery, Alabama, but has resided in Myrtle Beach for 14 years. She is the Editor-in-Chief of CCU's student newspaper, The Chanticleer, and is a member of a two-year leadership program called the Wall Fellows. Shelbi enjoys trying new restaurants, traveling to major cities in the SouthEast, and attending concerts. In her free time you can find her hanging out with her frenchton bulldog, Oma, or visiting the local trails Myrtle Beach has to offer.
