“Traveling the Spectrum” and “Chef Swap at the Beach” Receive Telly Recognition with Five Awards

Both shows reflect Myrtle Beach’s dedication to authentic, local storytelling
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (May 30, 2025) – Visit Myrtle Beach is proud to announce that its original docuseries “Traveling the Spectrum” and culinary competition show “Chef Swap at the Beach,” both created in partnership with The WorkShop Content Studios, have received national recognition in the 46th Annual Telly Awards. The shows were honored across multiple categories for excellence in documentary, directing and editing.
These shows are part of a broader effort to highlight the people, culture and values that define the Grand Strand. By airing on national platforms, they reach new audiences with high-quality, engaging content that reflects the spirit of the community. In doing so, they help build stronger connections with potential visitors, spark interest in travel and support long-term benefits for the Myrtle Beach area as a whole.

"Traveling the Spectrum" received a Silver Telly Award in the Online: Series – Documentary category. The docuseries follows neurodivergent travelers and their families as they explore Myrtle Beach, highlighting the area’s commitment to accessibility and sensory-friendly experiences. Since its launch, the show has played a key role in inspiring confidence among families planning their trips and contributes to increased awareness of the destination’s efforts to create welcoming spaces for all.

"Chef Swap at the Beach" was recognized with four Telly Awards in craft categories for television programming. The series follows Myrtle Beach area chefs as they switch restaurants and challenge themselves to reimagine each other’s signature dishes, offering viewers a taste of the region’s diverse culinary talent and community spirit. The show shines a spotlight on the Grand Strand’s burgeoning dining scene, elevating local chefs and showcasing the creativity that defines the area’s culture. The Telly Awards recognize excellence in video and television across all screens and media platforms.
