2022 Myrtle Beach Invitational game

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.— For the first time in its five-year history, the Myrtle Beach Invitational college basketball tournament held on the campus of Coastal Carolina University (CCU) will showcase three South Carolina schools: CCU, the College of Charleston and Furman University.

Their men’s college basketball teams will join the teams for Liberty, St. Louis, Vermont, Wichita State and Wyoming for this exciting, three-day early season tournament held Nov. 16, 17 and 19, 2023, at CCU’s HTC Center in Conway, S.C. This bracket-busting, mid-major lineup of teams includes three teams that participated in the NCAA Tournament in 2023. Furthermore six of the eight have participated in invitational in the past three years.

“The chance to watch high-level NCAA Division I Basketball in our own backyard is an exciting opportunity for spectators and this year with CCU, Charleston and Furman playing, the tournament will have a South Carolina feel,” said Jonathan Paris, Executive Director of Sports Tourism for Visit Myrtle Beach.

Spectators can purchase dual-game tickets in advance at MyrtleBeachInvite.com or at the door.

On Thursday, in the quarter finals, Session One starts at 11:30 a.m. with Charleston playing Vermont followed by St. Louis taking on Wyoming. Then Session Two begins at 4:30 p.m. with Wichita State against CCU followed by Furman versus Liberty.

A full bracket can be found online and all 12 games are broadcast live on the ESPN family of networks. Beach.
