5 Things to Do While in Town for CCMF

While you may be coming into town for the main event, the Carolina Country Music Festival, there is still plenty to do and check out while you are in town!

If you are looking for even more live music and great food, the MarshWalk in Murrells Inlet is the place to be. Check out many local bands at Dead Dog Saloon or Creek Ratz, and dance the night away to some of your favorite covers. Murrells Inlet is also known as the "Seafood Capital of South Carolina", so be sure to order from fresh shrimp or fish while enjoying the sounds of live music right along the marsh.

Did you know Ripley's Aquarium just opened a new sloth exhibit? Go hang out with the two newest members of the Ripley's family, named Rico and Cleo. The Ripley's staff will feed and check on the sloths throughout the day, so you may even catch them moving around the trees in the exhibit. These two-toed sloths might be slow moving, but they sure are cute!

You can't forget the most important meal of the day! There are breakfast - and brunch if that's more your speed - places galore throughout the Myrtle Beach area. Enjoy a nice southern breakfast at Magnolia's that will fuel you up for a full day of activities. Or if brunch is your style, check out Drift or Blueberry's Grill, where you phone may have to eat first!Â

From waterparks to jet ski cruises, there's water everywhere at The Beach! If you are looking a waterpark perfect for even the big kids, head on over to Myrtle Waves or check out your hotel or resort's lazy river or outdoor pool. If you are looking for adventure, sign up for a jet ski cruise along the Intracoastal Waterway or Waccamaw River. There is also a new water adventure waiting for you in Murrells Inlet called Seakart Adventures - which combines the speed of a jet ski with the comfort of a boat.Â
And of course, we couldn't forget THE BEACH! Grab a beach chair and a good book and settle in for a day in the sand, watching the waves roll in. There's nothing like it.Â

Brews just taste better at The Beach! There are several local breweries in the Myrtle Beach area for you to check out, offering unique flavors and vibes. Try New South Brewing, the O.G. brewery in Myrtle Beach that never disappoints, and a variety of food trucks that rotate through. Or head on up to Barefoot Landing to explore Crooked Hammock Brewery. Here you can play some yard games, order off their extensive menu, and try their tropical flavored brews. You can even book a brewery tour!Â
We recently launched the Myrtle Beach Beer Trail, where you can visit all the breweries in the area, redeem points and earn cool swag! Check it out here.
