The weekend kicks off with a lively Kickoff Party where dancers can meet, reconnect, and hit the floor as the beach music DJ sets the tone for the event. Guests of all experience levels can join in shag lessons hosted by the Ocean Drive (OD) Shag Club Dance Team, making it the perfect opportunity for beginners to learn and experienced dancers to sharpen their moves.


Throughout the weekend, guests will enjoy plenty of time on the open dance floor, along with special highlights including an Oceanfront Happy Hour Party on the Springs Ballroom Balcony featuring signature cocktails, drink specials, great music, and sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean.


One of the highlights of the event is a Shag Dance Showcase by the OD Shag Club, celebrating the style, rhythm, and tradition of the Carolina Shag. The evening continues with a high-energy Saturday Night Shag Party, where the dance floor comes alive under the lights with nonstop beach music.


On Sunday, the celebration continues with a relaxed and social Shag Brunch at Ocean Blue Restaurant, followed by a refresher lesson and a Farewell Dance Party to close out the weekend with friends old and new.
