The Conway Chamber of Commerce is bringing a brand new event to Downtown Conway that will transform the town into a thrilling and spooky racetrack. The Graveyard Grand Prix Coffin Races, presented by Radial, will kick off on Saturday, October 25 at 11 a.m. This one-of-a-kind Halloween-themed event promises high-energy races, creative costumes, family-friendly activities, and a spirited celebration for all ages.
What to Expect
Spectators can cheer on teams as they compete in homemade, human-powered “coffins” in a series of head-to-head heats. Alongside the adrenaline-pumping races, the event will feature:
Delicious offerings from local food trucks
Halloween-themed vendors
Kids’ games and activities
A photobooth for capturing ghoulish memories
Spooky performers and live music
Race Details & Rules
Each team must consist of five participants: one rider, dubbed “The Ghost”, and four pushers. All participants must be at least 16 years old, and safety is key—coffins must have four wheels, be steerable, include a secure seat, and be built without motors or pedals. Helmets are required for all participants.
Teams will race down a closed section of Laurel Street, with at least two qualifying runs per team. The fastest advance to the finals, but speed isn’t the only way to win—creativity, team spirit, and style will also be rewarded.
