2025 Grand Strand Walk to End Alzheimer’s Photo

The Alzheimer’s Association is proud to announce that the 2025 Grand Strand Walk to End Alzheimer’s will take place on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Grand Park in The Market Common, Myrtle Beach. Last year, over 1,000 Grand Strand residents gathered for the walk and raised more than $283,500 toward Alzheimer’s support and research.

Family-friendly festivities begin at 10 a.m., kicking off a morning of inspiration and solidarity in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease with activities including a DJ dance party energizing the crowd and a Promise Flower Garden honoring those affected by the dementia.

Opening ceremonies begin at 10:45 a.m. with beloved local media personalities Ed Piotrowski (WPDE ABC15 Chief Meteorologist) and Jeff Benton (Gator 107.9 FM radio host) once again serving as co-emcees for the event.

The walk kicks off at 11 a.m. as participants parade their purple T-shirts and colorful flower wind spinners around the park’s picturesque Grand Lake.

This outpouring of local support demonstrates the Grand Strand’s commitment to making a difference in the fight against a disease that affects thousands of South Carolinians. In the Palmetto State alone, an estimated 112,500 people are living with Alzheimer’s with 219,000 caregivers providing their care.
