There’s something thrilling about seeing the world from another perspective, right? You may have heard about a balloon that came to Myrtle Beach recently. Floating through the air may not be an activity in your everyday life, but here in Myrtle Beach there 6 ways that you can see The Beach from the sky. Get ready for take off and see your favorite attractions, restaurants and entertainment in the best and beachiest beach.

1. Parasailing

If you’ve never been parasailing, you really need to check it out in Myrtle Beach. You will take a boat off the shoreline and sit in a large sail that will be whisked to 500 feet high! You can see the Atlantic Ocean for miles, and your friends down on the shore. The ride is smooth, so even if you don't like thrill rides, this ride is calmer than other more adrenaline pumping attractions. Don’t worry – Downwind Sails and Express Watersports both offer double or triple riding options if you need to take a friend, or two, with you.

2. Helicopter Ride

There are always helicopters whizzing over your head in Myrtle Beach! You can hop aboard one of these aircrafts to take a tour above Myrtle Beach with an expert pilot and show you some sights you have never seen before.

3. SkyWheel

One of the most iconic fixtures in the Myrtle Beach skyline, the SkyWheel stands 187 feet into the air. The SkyWheel offers family-friendly rides in air-conditioned gondolas for a peaceful view of Myrtle Beach and the sprawling Atlantic Ocean.

4. Rooftop Restaurant

Check out one of the many rooftop restaurants in Myrtle Beach for fun from up in the air. Several of our rooftop restaurants are also located along the beach, so you can knock out two bucket list items - waterfront dining AND a rooftop experience. Riptydz Oceanfront Grille and Rooftop Bar located in downtown Myrtle Beach also has yard games and fresh seafood to round-out the view from three stories up.

5. Slingshot

You may have seen this ride in a video as the Slingshot stands 300 feet in the air and can reach speeds of 100 miles per hour. This is not for the faint of heart! You can also take a friend on the slingshot, since everyone needs a hype man.

6. The Funplex

The Funplex, a new amusement park in the heart of Myrtle Beach, recently added a ride called “Mach Fun”, the tallest, interactive 360° flying jet ride in North America. Spin and fly to new heights – the challenge is keeping your eyes open for the whole ride!
