Pirate Adventures in Myrtle Beach

Did you know that pirates used to lurk in the marsh waters near Murrells Inlet and Pawleys Island? The inland marshes and creeks were perfect places to hide, instead of staying out in the open sea. There are plenty of pirate-themed adventures for you to explore in the Myrtle Beach Area! Arrrrgh you ready to get started?

1. Visit Drunken Jack's

Some say that the famous pirate, Drunken Jack, can still be seen wandering the coast. The story goes that Drunken Jack was left on an island in Murrells Inlet by his crew with only rum to sustain him. Well, the rum ran out, and his ghost can now be seen looking for rum and food around the coast. The seafood restaurant along the MarshWalk named Drunken Jack's pays homage to the area’s famous pirate ghost.

2. Act like a Pirate at Pirates Voyage Dinner and Show

A trip to Myrtle Beach is not complete without enjoying a spectacular pirate evening at Pirates Voyage Dinner and Show. Hop aboard the Sea Gypsy, a real-life pirate ship, to search for sunken treasure along the Murrells Inlet coast. The children – or young pirates – aboard will be decked out in pirate apparel and a curly mustache! The crew will adventure to defeat Pirate Pete, who lurks off the coast guarding his treasure.

Play mini golf with the Lost Boys and the Darling family at Captain Hook's Adventure Golf. Each putt-putt hole is designed for you and your family to feel whisked back to Neverland, complete with water features, a skull rock, Captain Hook’s ship, and more.
