It’s all about the ‘gram these days, either on your stories or feed, isn’t it? We’ve rounded up some of the Instagram worthy spots around the Grand Strand. From boardwalks to the ocean to hidden murals, here are the 15 best spots to capture that perfect vacation picture to show to your friends back home.

1. The Beach

Hands down the most iconic (and most shared) location for photos in Myrtle Beach is the beach itself. With 60 miles coastline along the Grand Strand, the entire Atlantic Ocean is just waiting to be your Instagram photo backdrop. On the East Coast, the sun rises on the ocean in reds, oranges, and pinks.

2. Pier 14

From fishing to a delicious restaurant with live music, Pier 14 is the perfect spot for capturing all the beach vibes. Check out Pier 14 Restaurant & Lounge for fresh seafood and a laid-back atmosphere that is casually screaming “the beach”. Plus, if you play the angles right, you might just capture a pic with the old fisherman that sits atop the pier next to restaurant's entrance.

3. Myrtle Beach Boardwalk

The award-winning Myrtle Beach Boardwalk provides 1.2 miles of interesting photographic opportunities. You can capture quintessential Myrtle Beach with images in the heart of downtown Myrtle Beach. In addition to gorgeous beachfront scenes, along this stretch, you'll also find some great "hidden gems" and awesome local artwork here as well. Stop at the fun, colorful selfie spot on the side of the Gay Dolphin, snap some shots of the stunning "Goddess of the Sea" sculpture in Plyler Park (next to the Skywheel) and check out the awesome murals at The Blvd, a complex which houses Bandito's, Tin Roof,  and more. You won't need a location tag for this one - everyone will know you are in Myrtle Beach!

4. SkyWheel

There is nothing more iconic in the Myrtle Beach skyline than the SkyWheel. Throughout the year, the SkyWheel lights up at night with vibrant colors, smiley faces, and light shows. Bonus points for getting a picture from the top of the SkyWheel with the Atlantic Ocean as the backdrop!

5. Huntington Beach State Park

Huntington Beach State Park, located just south of Murrells Inlet, is a great a two for one photo op. Not only can you capture gorgeous nature and wildlife photos here, it's also a great spot for portraits inside a unique castle. The park is home to Atalaya, a National Historic Landmark constructed in the style of the Moorish architecture of the Spanish Mediterranean coast. With its beautiful architecture and unique scenery this spot will gain you some definite "cool" points on Instagram.

6. Brookgreen Gardens

As the home to one of the largest collections of sculptures in the country, Brookgreen has hundreds of unique, Instagram worthy spots to choose from. From the sculptures and flowers to the beautiful live oaks and the animals of the Lowcountry Zoo, the photography options here are pretty much endless. During the holidays, Brookgreen hosts Nights of a Thousand Candles where every inch of the gardens is lighted with thousands of twinkling lights.

Hollywood Wax Museum
7. Hollywood Wax Museum

Have you ever wanted your picture with Taylor Swift or Michael Jackson? Well, here is your chance at the Hollywood Wax Museum where you can take a selfie with every famous person you “meet”. Don't forget to stop and snap a pic with Oscar (an oversized Academy Awards statue) and King Kong on the way in.

8. Downtown Conway

There are several scenic locations in downtown Conway that set the stage for that perfect snap! The train mural located at Kingston Park in downtown Conway is an iconic corner that pays homage to the train that went straight through Main Street back in the day. Kingston Park is filled with flowers and park benches, and at night, there are string lights that make the little corner feel magical! There is also "Teal Alley" that pays homage to the Coastal Carolina University Chanticleers with their team colors on display.

9. Murrells Inlet Marshwalk

Located atop the scenic salt marsh in Murrells Inlet, this stretch offers tons of great scenery, both natural and manmade. You'll find great artwork throughout the area such as murals, statues, selfie spots and even a cool wooden wayfinding map located near Wicked Tuna restaurant. Also, right off the edge of the MarshWalk near Drunken Jack’s, is Goat Island a local's favorite spot that is home to several goats. You won’t want to miss a video of the goats playing with each other!

10. Duplin Winery

For those 21+, head on over to the Duplin Winery in North Myrtle Beach for a wine tasting, complimentary beverage of your choice, and a unique photo op that you wouldn’t expect to find during a beach vacation.

11. Parasailing

This watersport is one of the best ways to get a great view of the ocean and Myrtle Beach skyline. Take a parasailing trip with Downwind Parasailing, and you will get both a great picture and some “street cred” for conquering the 500 feet heights.

12. Pelicans Baseball Game

Did you know that Myrtle Beach has its very own Minor League baseball team? The Pelicans, an affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, play throughout the summer at TicketReturn.com field next to Broadway at the Beach. When catching a Pelicans game there are tons of great sights to see both on and off the field. Mascots such as Splash, Rally Shark and Slider the "bat dog" are always ready for a photo.

13. Conway Riverwalk

Riverwalk Park in downtown Conway, SC, is situated on the scenic Waccamaw River and serves as the perfect backdrop for photos of those you love, while the Main Street bridge coming over the Waccamaw makes for a striking photo all by itself.

Selfie World Photo
14. Selfie WRLD

It's not every day that you come across a business dedicated to helping visitors capture the perfect Instagram selfie! Located in the Coastal Grande Mall, this is the place for fun, interactive backdrops and immaculate lighting.
