Myrtle Mile

About this Event

Come out and run your best mile, walk, or jog for a great cause! 1st place overall male & 1st place overall female win FREE Brooks running shoes courtesy of Black Dog Running Company!

One mile race around Grand Lake. Stroller friendly. Chip timed. Post-race refreshments (chocolate milk anyone?). T-shirts for participants registered by September 30th. Family friendly event. Awards ceremony for competitive heat. (Must be present to receive award) 

Ryzon Refuge is a faith-based nonprofit serving Horry County. At Ryzon Refuge, we work collectively with the community to support the needs of mothers and their children experiencing homelessness. We currently do this through our new thrift store, Ryzon Redeemery! (Located at 1514 Bus US 17 North, Surfside Beach SC 29575) Ryzon Redeemery offers affordable goods and a nurturing space where mothers and children can find support, counseling, and growth as we continue to raise funds for the housing community. All proceeds from the store help the families we serve and fund our housing community. Our dream is to build a safe, supportive community using tiny homes for single mothers and their children. Each tiny home will feature a full kitchen, bathroom, and a comfortable living space—offering families both stability and dignity. 

All proceeds from the Myrtle Mile will directly benefit the community through Ryzon Refuge!

Event Information:

Packet pick-up: Saturday October 17th 8:00am - 8:45am at Shelter A.

Race will start and finish near Shelter A.

9:00am race start.
