Best Myrtle Beach Restaurants with Play Areas for Kids

Ashley's Note: I’ve been there. You want to dine out with the family instead of putting in sweat equity over your stove for one night out and a special treat. But where can you go that serves up great food and good times for your children in the same visit? I can say that I’ve relied on most of these incredible, family-friendly restaurants in the Myrtle Beach area that will do just that for one and all!
There’s dinner theatre, and then there’s dinner out with the kids, when you need something to entertain them. That is why we have gathered a list of musts to dine out as a family, where Mom and Dad can have a meal in peace and the kiddos can have bits of fun in between bites of food.
Central Myrtle Beach

Where are you allowed to dance on the tables? The Hangout at Broadway at the Beach! This newer full-service restaurant and venue is also the place for playtime, live entertainment on stages outside in the grass courtyard, a sand pile, foam pit, games, special events, and lots of laughs.

Tidal Creek Brewhouse, and Grand Strand Brewing
Two breweries within a couple miles of each other offer food, fun, and craft beer for grownups so everyone leaves with a smile on their faces. There are plenty of yard games to keep the kiddos occupied, and the breweries also welcome pets, too. Don't forget to try Myrtle Beach's official beer, Beach Easy!

It’s the ultimate arcade on steroids, where the kids will love playing on all of the latest and greatest video games and technology and winning prizes at the finish line. Dave & Buster’s also has a yummy menu of munchies, sandwiches, and more, walls of TVs playing your favorite sports teams, and a full bar.

Another child-friendly restaurant in Broadway at the Beach, Joe’s dining décor is entertaining in itself, but there’s also an outdoor playground to pass the time, while Mom and Dad crack into crabs and have a beer.

This newer attraction in Broadway at the Beach puts a spin on putt-putt. The innovative 10,000-square-foot mini golf venue, backed by investor Tiger Woods, features 36 putting holes (two 18-hole courses), an arcade, a play area, and bar/restaurant. To make it truly competitive and state-of-the-art, scoring at PopStroke uses electronic iPutt balls that transmit scores to the PopStroke app, which you can also use to order drinks while you play.
South End

Smack in between waterfront seafood restaurants Hot Fish Club and Inlet Prohibition Company is a marvelous outdoor playground under the live oaks and overlooking the inlet that kids will love. Choose your restaurant (same owners) and you won’t be disappointed in the fresh seafood!

This super-cool, casual seafood spot in Pawleys is a locals’ favorite for fresh seafood offerings, and it will have a special place in the hearts of parents because of the fun-filled, fenced-in wooden playground right outside the indoor dining room.

Parents can relax, sit back, and enjoy the refreshing views of the inlet with an ice-cold cocktail and raw oysters on ice. Meanwhile, the kids can climb up and down and play all around on Neptune’s giant outdoor pirate ship playground, complete with an enclosed tube slide and tinier tot slide, climbing wall, and sand pit.

The combo bar-arcade-restaurant Player 1Up is a hangout for kids and adults alike! You’ll dig the wall-to-wall classic arcade games and pinball machines, plus a menu featuring pizza, burgers, and cocktails.
North End

Located on the waterway in Barefoot Landing, LuLu’s is a place your kids will want to come back to again and again – and you will, too, for the stress-free environment and fresh-made coastal cuisine. They’ve created a sandy beach area for the kids to play in right off the indoor/outdoor dining room, with volleyball and water-splash games, plus there is a multi-level ropes course and arcade onsite.

Crooked Hammock located in Barefoot Landing offers food, fun, and craft beer for grownups so everyone leaves with a smile on their faces. Bring you pet, and enjoy yard games and entertainment in the center of Barefoot Landing.

This massive venue within the Galleria Shopping Center is one of several Grumpy Monks in the Myrtle Beach area, but this one offers an arcade especially for the kids. The menu here is also a large one, so it’s a crowd-pleaser, listing everything from sushi to sandwiches.
