The Women's Leadership Conference and Celebration of Inspiring Women brings together women from all walks of life for two days of education, professional and personal development, and networking. Entrepreneurs, professionals, community volunteers and activists, and students all enjoy this dynamic program with incredible opportunities to learn and grow.
The Celebration of Inspiring Women honors remarkable individuals and celebrates their contributions to our state, region, nation and world. The awards were created as an important and lasting way to recognize the incredible achievements of women with ties to South Carolina. Since the program's inception in 2011, 37 women have been recognized; 2018 honorees include Joan Robinson-Berry and Amber Campbell.
The Women's Leadership Conference seeks to educate, motivate and challenge women to lead change in their lives, their communities and the world. The 2018 program will feature notable speakers from the fields of business, science, culture and more. Speakers include:
Author of Rise: How a House Built a Family, computer analyst and social media marketing expert.
Author of bestseller Ana’s Story: A Journey of Hope and correspondent on NBC's Today Show.
Julia Landauer, two-time NASCAR champion and advocate for STEM education and women's empowerment.
Founder of Advice for My Daughter, a blog to inspire women and the people who raise them.
Tidelands Health will present a daylong expo titled “Better! Be strong. Be healthy. Be you.” It will feature two breakout sessions focusing on women’s health topics and three activity areas in a 4,500-square-foot space outside the main conference hall. The Tidelands Health activity areas will give attendees opportunities to explore how they can care for their minds and bodies through proper nutrition and regular health screenings, by building physical strength, and by finding ways to reduce stress and develop a positive work-life balance.
The 2018 Women in Philanthropy and Leadership Women's Leadership Conference and Celebration of Inspiring Women will be held at the Sheraton Myrtle Beach Convention Center, located two blocks from the ocean and approximately 10 minutes from Myrtle Beach International Airport.
