While mask mandates have been lifted in Myrtle Beach and many communities across the Grand Strand, businesses may require them and have implemented varied safety protocols. Masks are encouraged to be worn in public spaces including stores, common areas of restaurants and accommodations, and public spaces where social distancing cannot be followed. - Myrtle Beach rescinded the face mask requirement for indoor spaces beginning of April 1, 2021.
- North Myrtle Beach lifted the ordinance that requires people to wear face coverings in public spaces as of March 28, 2021.
- Face Masks are not required to be worn on the beach.
- As stated in Governor McMaster’s recent Executive Order, restaurants in the state of South Carolina are now permitted to operate at full capacity.
