Myrtle Beach International Airport Airline Partners

The Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) is a full-service facility that serves as a gateway to the Grand Strand. Approximately 1.1 million passengers deplane in MYR each year.

To keep up with the growing number of visitors traveling to Myrtle Beach each year, MYR has undergone notable expansions and facility improvements. At the end of 2015, MYR completed a $5 million interior renovation of its original terminal. Triggered by growth in passenger traffic, this renovation added new amenities, circulation space, and improved restroom and concession areas. It also divided one of the concourses into three zones, allowing for a more flexible and cost-efficient operation to complement seasonal passenger demand. Additionally, the project increased the number of gates from seven to 12, and the amount of square footage from 155,000 to a combined total of 374,000.

Air service at MYR has also experienced tremendous growth over the past several years, including the recent addition of ten destinations offered by Southwest Airlines and three destinations from United Airlines. Myrtle Beach International Airport has 9 airlines and serves nearly 50 nonstop markets in total.

MYR is also one of the only airports in the country to open an autism-friendly “Quiet Room” to help families with autistic children decompress after a flight.
