Pick up a map in the visitors center and set off on a walking tour of this beautiful and historic city. Make sure and swing by the Conway City Hall, which was designed by Robert Mills. This is the same man who designed the Washington Monument.

Two greats spots for breakfast and brunch are Croissants Bistro and Bakery which offers up award-winning breakfast Monday through Friday, and a mouth-watering brunch on Saturdays. A tip from us; don't leave without first buying a few of their amazing baked goods to save for later. Another the historic Sea Captain's House boasts a wonderful brunch buffet with a number of delicious selections such as crab cakes, eggs Benedict and made-to-order omelets. That first cup of coffee goes down even better with an incredible view of the Atlantic Ocean.

The only one of its kind in the Myrtle Beach area, the Franklin G. Burroughs-Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum boasts one-of-a-kind works by a number of renowned American artists. A Local's Look - L.W. Paul Living History Farm
Before the Myrtle Beach area became a family-friendly beach destination, the local economy was driven by agriculture. Take a trip back to that period in time by visiting the L.W. Paul Living History Farm. This 17-acre farm gives visitors an idea of what it was like to live in the region between 1900 and 1955. Visitors can take part in farm activities such as plowing with mules, making lye soap and milking cows.

The Pier at Garden City is the 668-foot-long heart of this community. Visitors are welcome to walk along it free of charge, and there is live entertainment at both ends once the sun starts to set. Pine Lakes Country Club is a major part of the Myrtle Beach area's golfing history, boasting "The Granddaddy," the Grand Strand's first golf course. The course was built in 1927 and stood as the only one in the area for 20 years. It is definitely a unique part of our sporting history.

Two of Main Street's top places to visit includes a place to get out on the dance floor and learn more about South Carolina's state dance, the shag, at Fat Harold's Beach Club. This popular spot offers shag lessons throughout the year and is one of the locations for the national shag dance competition. So put on your dancing shoes and learn a few steps!
