Freewoods Farm is a 40-acre living farm museum showing life on a small African American family farm between 18-65 and 1900. The farm contains a main farmhouse, a blacksmith shed, a smokehouse, livestock, and tobacco storage. Workers, which include volunteers use mules and plows, harvest crops by hand and cook over a wood-fire, and make soaps and syrups.
