What Would Frida Do Summer Camp at Franklin G. Burroughs – Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum

This creative three-day camp will begin with a tour of our 2022 summer exhibition, The World of Frida. This exhibition features over 110 works of art that celebrate the life of Mexican artist Frida Kahlo. Children will learn not only who Frida Kahlo was but her influence on the art world today! Students will discuss and experience art themes such as self-expressionism and Mexican folk art through various daily art projects. At the end of camp, each student will have their own mixed media self-portrait along with a personal sketchbook to take home to commemorate their time here at the Art Museum.
