SHAG, the motion picture made and set in Myrtle Beach, SC, and voted by the readers of the Southern lifestyle magazine, Garden & Gun, as the 4th Best Movie Made in the South, is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2019 (the top three movies were Gone With the Wind, To Kill a Mockingbird and Steel Magnolias). The Market Common, Myrtle Beach’s premiere shopping, dining and entertainment destination, will be celebrating this cinematic milestone with a walking tour to three of their popular restaurants. Guests will enjoy wine and food samplings while hearing the story behind the making of the movie. The delightful afternoon culminates with a private screening of the beloved film at Tupelo Honey . Those in attendance who were in the movie with speaking parts or as extras will be acknowledged prior to the screening.
