The Market Common continues their Military History Tour on Friday, April 27th, from 2 PM – 4 PM, with special guest, Patrick Lloyd, of WMBF News, our local NBC affiliate. He will be reporting on the tour in conjunction with the air show that will be going on that weekend at the airport adjacent to The Market Common.
Tour-takers will board a trolley for a one-hour narrated tour around The Market Common District learning about the history of the former Myrtle Beach Air Force Base. That will be immediately followed by a one-hour catered reception at Tupelo Honey where they will meet a historical figure who was part of the base’s history. The tour includes stops at Warbird Park and at the General Robert H. Reed Recreation Center where a small military museum is housed. Tickets are $30 and that includes the trolley tour and reception.
