The 2019 Horry County Museum Documentary Film Series continues with Steel Roads, Iron Men. This film, part of the Carolina Stories Series by SCETV, takes viewers on a nostalgic journey through railroading in South Carolina. From the early days when the giant locomotives were steam driven, to the modern world of diesel powered trains, hear railroading stories from the men who drove the spikes, or manned the engines from the early 1940s to the present.
The film is free to the public and will be shown at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, May 8th, at the Horry County Museum, located at 805 Main Street in Conway.
The Horry County Museum Documentary Film Matinees will continue throughout 2019. For a full list of films, visit our website at www.horrycountymuseum.org. For more information, call the Horry County Museum at 843-915-5320 or e-mail email@example.com.
