Love is definitely in the air as the Kaminski House Museum gears up for a Wedding Showcase set for Sunday, April 29 from 1 pm – 4 pm. The lawn and the Kossove Terrace will feature florists, caterers, and other businesses providing wedding-related services to make wedding day dreams come true for couples planning one of the most important days of their lives. The showcase will feature a $5,000.00 Wedding Day Prize Package and drawings for bridal gifts and prizes. The Wedding Day Prize Package includes the museum’s $1,500.00 rental for the lawn and the Kossove Terrace, luxury accommodations in a local B & B, a wedding cake and other wedding-related gifts. Eight couples from throughout the Grand Strand have submitted their special stories of how they met, how the romance progressed and how he/she proposed. All eight love stories will be on display at the showcase and attendees to the event will be asked to vote on their favorite love story. The winner of the prize package will be announced at the conclusion of the Wedding Showcase.
The event will also feature the latest wedding day fashions by Fabulous Reflections by Julie and a special exhibition of vintage wedding gowns from the collection of Melissa Levey. The exhibition of wedding gowns will be on display inside of the Kaminski House Museum through the end of May. The special showing may be viewed with admission to the Kaminski House during daily tours at 11 am, 1 and 3 pm. Floral arrangements and tablescapes will be on display and feature the design talents of Rebecca Ceron Martin of Ceron Martin Designs and Kevin Jayroe of Bienvenue Home. Participating vendors include ART Catering and Events, Augustus & Carolina Interior Furnishings and Outdoor Living, Carolina Catering, Coastal Chamber Musicians, Debra G’s Café Catering, Greenskeeper Florist, Massage and Hair by Karen, Inspire Charleston, Natural Oils Skin & Health Care, SaraBeth’s Gifts and Home, Pawleys Island Bakery, Winyah Indigo Society Hall and Wedgefield Plantation Weddings.
Tickets for the Wedding Showcase are $10.00 in advance and $12.00 the day of the event. Tickets are available online at the museum’s website KaminskiMuseum.org.
