Plan your Myrtle Beach vacation now--it’s for your own good! Did you know that more than half of American workers (55%) failed to use all their time off last year? That’s a stockpile of 768 million unused vacation days just in 2018, of which 236 million were forfeited completely! What’s the key to using more vacation time? Planning. But nearly half of American households (46%) don’t do this simple step—and they lose out on their time off and the benefits it brings. “The beginning of the year is the time to pull out the calendar and start…

As the Grand Strand covers over 60 miles of coastline, we have our fair share of Christmas tree lightings and celebrations as we head into the holidays! The first one of the season is this coming Saturday, November 16. The Christmas tree lightings will continue for around a month, and most of them feature visits with Santa and kids activities. Having attended every single one of them at some point, I’d have to say it’s too hard to pick a favorite—all Christmas tree lightings are fun and beautiful events! We just keep switching it up and trying…

On Saturday, November 2, 2019, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., the Lowcountry Zoo at Brookgreen Gardens will serve as setting for their annual ‘Brew at the Zoo’ event. This fall event is one of my absolute favorites as it manages to combine craft beer sampling, Brookgreen’s remarkable animals and perfect weather into one evening. Attendees can enjoy more than 30 regional and national craft beers from breweries, including Wicked Weed, Stone, Terrapin, Holy City, Palmetto and many others. Tickets are $40 for Brookgreen members, $45 for the general…

Those of us who call the Myrtle Beach area home love October. It’s easy to understand once you’ve visited the Grand Strand in the fall. The weather is sunny and still oh-so-warm, and there is something to do practically every day of the month. Listing every single October festival and event in a blog post would require some hefty reading from our visitors, so we’ve compiled a good list rounding out some of the many events celebrating Halloween in Myrtle Beach instead. You’ll find both family-friendly events and some more adult geared events…

This month also offers a ton of free festivals and events, and I’ve included five of my kiddos’ favorite October festivals below. We also have a ton of neat activities scheduled for Halloween, as well, and we’ll share those in a coming post! 1. Brookgreen Gardens Harvest Home Weekend Festival This two-day celebration of the fall season…
