Those of us who call the Myrtle Beach area home love October. It’s easy to understand once you’ve visited the Grand Strand in the fall. The weather is sunny and still oh-so-warm, and there is something to do practically every day of the month. Listing every single October festival and event in a blog post would require some hefty reading from our visitors, so we’ve compiled a good list rounding out some of the many events celebrating Halloween in Myrtle Beach instead. You’ll find both family-friendly events and some more adult geared events…

While the Myrtle Beach area is well known for its sun and sand, it’s perhaps a little less well known for its fantastic shopping. But shopping we have! Spring has sprung here in the Myrtle Beach area, and one of the things we’re most looking forward to this month is our visit with the Easter Bunny and the many Easter egg hunts I’m sure we’ll attend. The Mountain of Youth features a bright color scheme that fits with the fun exterior of Lucy Buffett’s adjacent restaurant. So after a climb on the tropical, 48-foot-tall ropes course, participants can head next door for some of the restaurant’s incredible Gulf seafood. While I haven’t been able to do the ropes course yet…

I’m often asked if Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, is a good choice for spring break travelers. The answer is yes! Our area is a very popular spring break destination for families with school-aged children. While a few college-aged groups celebrating ‘first week’ may head our way, our spring break crowd typically has adult supervision. The spring break time frame in Myrtle Beach spans around 4-6 weeks, beginning before the Easter holiday and continuing for well after, as school districts’ holidays vary county by county and let out at different…
