When we’re in the mood to hear fantastic songs sung by bands that are either regional favorites or national touring acts, we head to the House of Blues.

The Myrtle Beach area’s concert authority has welcomed such well-known artists as Dave Chappelle, Bush, Cheap Trick, Jane’s Addiction and Weezer, just to name a few.

For the latter part of the summer, “Jar of Hearts” singer-songwriter Christina Perri will perform on Aug. 8. Then, on Aug. 22, veteran rock outfit Breaking Benjamin will belt out their hits for the masses.

If you’re looking for a casual atmosphere this summer to unwind and hear some great tunes, The Deck at House of Blues is open daily. Happy hour runs from 5 to 7 p.m., followed by live music at 7 p.m.

Oh, did we mention that on Aug. 15, House of Blues will host the “Endless Summer: Bands, Brews and BBQ” event, where attendees can sample 30 different craft beers?

Obviously, you’re going to want to take some time here in the latter part of summer to get over to the House of Blues. They’ve got brews, they’ve got tunes and they’ve got food.

They’ve obviously got what it takes to ensure you have a great time!
