Myrtle Beach Marathon
March 5th at Pelicans Ballpark

The Myrtle Beach Marathon is a great race for those wanting to get into running. The entirety of the race is on a flat surface with some views alongside the ocean. The path starts near Broadway at the Beach, then continues onto Ocean Blvd, and ends at the Pelicans Stadium. It’s the perfect opportunity to see Myrtle Beach from the outside. St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival

Are you ready to see leprechauns and search for a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow? If so, plan your trip to Myrtle Beach around the St. Patty’s Day parade. Here visitors will be able to enjoy a parade full of floats and decorations starting at 9 a.m., then partake in a festival from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. The festival will have live music, food vendors, lots of beer for the adults, and lots of face painting for young ones. It’s an experience for everyone to participate in to celebrate the annual occasion with others.
Surfside Beach BBQ Festival
March 25th and 26th at Surfside Dr, Surfside Beach, SC 29575
Tangy, sweet, and hickory, are the smells you’re going to experience at this event. Friday night there will be the “Anything but Barbecue” event from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. where vendors will be cooking and selling their best barbeque or non-barbeque dishes. On Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. there will be the barbeque festival where vendors will be selling their preferred barbeque dishes with their choice of side. It will be a day of fun for everyone to enjoy whether you’re with family, friends, or just looking for something to get up and do outside.
33rd Annual Run to the Sun Car and Truck Show

If you are interested in classic Volkswagen buses, old pickup trucks, and good hot dogs, then this is the place for you. The Run to the Sun Car Show is hosting its 33rd annual event located in downtown Myrtle Beach. This car show will take you five hours to walk around with how large it is, increasing in size each year. They have classic vehicles you can look inside of, take photos with, and reminisce about. The car show will take place rain or shine and will start at 11 a.m. each day.
Vintage Market Days
March 18th-20th at Myrtle Beach Sports Center

For those who enjoy thrifting, searching for vintage furniture, and digging through items to find something unique, this is the ideal weekend to visit Myrtle Beach. Vintage Market Days is essentially a large, upscale flea market. It takes place at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center and the market travels to various cities throughout the year. The event is family-friendly full of vendors showing their creativity for all to enjoy. The hours are from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Sunday. There is a general admission fee to enter, and children 12 and under are free. Once a ticket is purchased, you are allowed reentry throughout the weekend.
March 19th and 20th at Huntington Beach State Park

This is the perfect getaway for a family weekend or date night. People gather on Huntington Beach to fly kites of various colors and sizes. It is a fun, playful festival with other activities such as a petting zoo, obstacle courses, food trucks, and live music. Attendees can also color their own kites to then partake in the flying activities. The event will take place each day from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.
March 26th at Ripley’s Aquarium
Do you like plants and exploring aquatic life? Ripley’s Aquarium is holding a workshop where attendees can design their own terrarium with succulent plants and explore different areas of the aquarium. Each ticket is $50 and includes a drink voucher, appetizers, a 15-minute Glass Bottom Boat Adventure, and supplies for the terrarium. The event will take place from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. and reservations must be made in advance. Tickets can be found in the link attached.
