While the greater Myrtle Beach area is best known for our 60 miles of pristine beaches and oceanfront, we are also home to some amazing opportunities to soak up some great music while on holiday in the USA. Here are just a few of our favorites spots to enjoy our music scene.
Carolina Country Music Festival (CCMF)
Traditionally held the first week of June each year, it was moved to June 10-13, 2021, due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. The good news is, there is still time to get your tickets to see some of the top country music superstars including local favorite Darius Rucker as well as Luke Combs and Eric Church just to name a few. The Alabama Theatre
Founded in 1993 by the supergroup Alabama, The Alabama Theatre entertains millions of guests who visit the Myrtle Beach area. Be sure to book one of their show offerings in advance to enjoy during your visit. “ONE The Show” brings audiences an incredible entertainment experience featuring everything from country, gospel, broadway, pop, and rock music to plenty of hilarious family comedy.
Legends in Concert
Legends in Concert brings you the ultimate evening of entertainment. This international award-winning production features an outstanding cast of accomplished tribute artists, talented singers and dancers, and a rockin’ band, which brings the music experience to life. See the stars of today and yesterday.
The Carolina Opry
The Carolina Opry’s award-winning show blends two hours of high-energy music, comedy, and dance in a luxurious theater complete with state-of-the-art lighting, sound, and special effects. Featuring a cast of over 35 of the nation’s most talented performers, this variety show spans all genres to bring you the best hits of yesterday, today, and everything in between.
The GTS Theatre has got the shows – a Motown Tribute Show, Elvis Live-Concert Years, a magic and comedy show, the Elvis Gospel Show, and during the holidays, all shows feature holiday music. You'll catch your toes tapping while you sing along to hits of the decades with a live cast of amazing powerhouse performers. #5 In the Top 10 on Tripadvisor.
The House of Blues
The House of Blues is in Barefoot Landing and features an eclectic music-inspired atmosphere with concerts throughout the year as well as their famous Sunday Gospel Brunch. They also offer free live music on The Deck throughout the summer.
Murrells Inlet MarshWalk
Murrells Inlet MarshWalk is where the fun, the music, and the view are always free in a historic fishing village. This half-mile wooden boardwalk on a natural saltwater estuary offers amazing views and seafood and is home to a variety of indoor and outdoor nightly live music performances.
Often referred to as the eighth wonder of the world, The Bowery has been entertaining folks with live entertainment nightly since 1944! The Bowery’s house band from 1973-1980 was Country Music Hall of Fame honorees Alabama who still consider it their home. It’s located less than 50 yards from the Atlantic Ocean and the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, so there’s even more reason to visit.
Broadway at the Beach
Broadway at the Beach is another favorite destination for those who want to hear some good music. Enjoy the dueling piano singalongs at Crocodile Rocks where you are guaranteed to have a good time.
Another popular destination for music is Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach. It’s not only the home of the Alabama Theatre and The House of Blues, but it’s also home to frequent live music events including the nightly SummerFest! music series at 7 p.m. each evening in June through August.
