Beat the heat this summer at the new Aqua Park at Shark Wake Park. It’s the largest inflatable, floating obstacle course on the East Coast. Covering an acre of water, the aqua park can hold up to 120 people per hour. It’s the place to be to jump, play and climb this summer.
The Aqua Park is the newest addition to Shark Wake Park and marks the completion of the park since it opened one year ago. Shark Wake Park will celebrate with a “Welcome Back Summer Party” on Saturday, June 3rd from Noon to Dusk. Festivities will include music, cornhole competition, big air contests and more.
Aqua Park visitors must be 7 years old or older, at least 45” tall, and a good swimmer to participate. To expedite the experience, its recommended that visitors visit the website to review and sign a waiver before visiting (legal guardian is required for all under 18 years of age.) All participants must go through a 15-minute orientation/instruction and a Coast Guard Approved life-jacket will be provided and must be worn at all times. Then it's time for some FUN! Shark Wake Park’s aqua park is also the perfect destination for groups, parties and even corporate team building events.
There’s also more fun to be had while at the park complex. Shark Wake Park is South Carolina’s first continuous wakeboarding park opened by Greg Norman, Jr., the son legend Greg Norman. The park pulls riders by a high-tech pulley system instead of a boat. The pulley picks up ropes from the starting dock and pulls riders in a circle around the lake. There are ramps and rails on the sides of the lake to try tricks. Beginners are welcome; visitors need to be at least 10 years old to ride. The complex also includes Go Ape! Treetop Adventures, Dog Park and other sports facilities.
