Looking for a kid-friendly adveture day in Myrtle Beach? You are in luck! There are plenty of things to do in the area that will keep your little ones entertained and all without breaking the bank.

One of my family's favorite kid-friendly Myrtle Beach activities is playing on the beach. The sand and waves are a lot of fun for children, and there is plenty of room to run around and explore. Plus, the beaches here are absolutely beautiful! Best of all, it is free to enjoy them!

Ripley’s Aquarium

This aquarium is home to a variety of different marine life, including sharks, dolphins, and stingrays. Tickets are reasonably priced, and there is something to interest kids of all ages.

Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Museum 

Where else can you find a shrunken head and authentic vampire killing kit in one spot? Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Museum has some of the best family fun on Ocean Boulevard. And with two floors of oddities, we are not just talking about some touristy stuff here – the museum leaves even the locals amazed!

Myrtle Waves Water Park

If you are looking for something a little more active, head to Myrtle Waves Water Park. This park has everything from lazy rivers and kid-sized slides to thrilling roller coaster type water slides for the more adventurous members of the family. Admission is affordable, and it is a terrific way to cool off on a hot day.

You can rent a cabana for the day for some shade and a bit of privacy. Myrtle Waves offers 4 different size cabanas so there most likely is one for your budget! The water park offers several food and snack options too!

Myrtle Beach Boardwalk

Another fun place to take the kids to Myrtle Beach is The Boardwalk. This oceanside promenade has restaurants, shops, arcades, and more. The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk is perfect for an afternoon of family fun. And best of all, it is free to walk along!

Mini-Golf

Who doesn’t love mini golf? Spend some quality family time at any of the many themed mini-golf courses in the area. A few suggestions that the kids will absolutely love are:

Jurassic Golf - What is life without a little adventure? Whether you are looking for the thrill of an encounter with dinos or just want some fresh air, Jurassic Golf has what every golfing enthusiast desires. Its two 18-hole courses – “Ice Age” and Predator–saturate players with excitement as they putt their way through foggy waterways and rugged mountain sides that date back before time itself!

Jungle Safari Miniature Golf - It is time to grab your putter and pith helmet because this 18-hole mini-golf course will take you on an adventure like no other. Stretching from the trees of Africa all winding through various themed holes such as The Amazon, Ancient Egypt, or even dinosaur terrain – there is something here for everyone to enjoy!

Myrtle Beach Pelicans Baseball

The Myrtle Beach Pelicans are a Minor League Baseball team in Myrtle Beach, and taking in a game is a popular activity for locals and visitors alike. Their ballpark is a family-friendly stadium with a speed pitch, obstacle course, and moon bounce on the concourse. Throughout the season, the Myrtle Beach Pelicans offer many family-friendly events. Every Friday night at Pelicans Ballpark is Family Friday with a post-game Munnerlyn Pyrotechnics Fireworks Extravaganza! Fridays also feature a $25 Family Meal Deal (4 hot dogs, 4 sodas, & a bucket of popcorn) and kid-friendly themes. Every Friday game ticket receives a $2.99 Kids Meal at Bar Louie. Kids 12 & under can run the bases after the fireworks show. With affordable family fun every game, there is no better way to spend time in Myrtle Beach!

Brookgreen Gardens 

Brookgreen Gardens is more than just a beautiful landscape of decorated foliage. It offers visitors the chance to enjoy an accredited zoo, witness breathtaking views from atop a one-hundred-foot-long bridge across flowing water features or take in dozens of sculptures throughout the property by skilled artists who specialize in both indoor and outdoor art.

Kids 3 and under are free and will love all the open space to run off some energy! Older kids (age 12 and up) can be a Zookeeper for a Day. 

Family Kingdom Amusement Park

Is your family full of thrill-seekers? Maybe you would enjoy a trip to the Family Kingdom Amusement Park. This attraction is a bit higher on the budget side but is full of fun and excitement for the whole family.The family kingdom is a 13-acre amusement park with 37 rides. It provides the complete experience for thrill-seekers, kiddie riders, and all ages; there are also free entertainment options to keep you busy between plays on their many attractions! The midway features traditional games and funnel cakes or corn dogs that will make your stomach happy while waiting in line at the theme park.
