Lakewood Camping Resort in Myrtle Beach

Lakewood Camping Resort is a family-owned oceanfront campground located on South Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach and is still run by the Perry family to this day. It was the first one of its kind to offer plumbing and electric hookups at every single site!

Lakewood Camping Resort is home to 300 acres of pure, family fun including roughly 1,300 campsites with oceanfront, lakefront and even fully shaded sites. Their vacation rentals range from one-bedroom cottages to five-bedroom homes with linens and full kitchens.

Join in on tons of family fun with events like Ping Pong Tournaments, Family Scavenger Hunts, Trivia Night, Pony Rides, Line Dance Lessons, worship services, Kids Fishing Tournament, a Spring Craft Fair and so much more all year round!

These days it’s all about the extra things that make your vacation extra exciting! Lakewood Camping Resort is full of all kinds of water fun, outdoor activities and living your best beach life. There’s a giant outdoor pool plus waterslides, a lazy river, kiddie splash zone and even private cabanas for rent.

The campground is also home to several places to grab a bite to eat, laundry facilities with arcade games to keep you busy, 13 different bath houses and a fish cleaning site for when you reel in the big ones.

Other amenities available at Lakewood including free WIFI, kayak and canoe rentals, bike rentals, a mini golf course, five lakes for fishing in addition to the ocean, and an oceanfront amphitheater with its own show – High Steppin’ Country.
