Myrtle Beach, SC – March 15, 2019 — Grande Dunes is excited to announce the 2019 Marina Park events lineup. Marina Park is an outdoor music and event lawn located along the Intracoastal Waterway and next to the Grande Dunes Marina in Myrtle Beach, SC. The event season will begin on Saturday, April 6 with a Long Bay Symphony Pops Concert from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. To kick off the 20th anniversary of Grande Dunes, the Long Bay Symphony will perform music ranging from Broadway to Hollywood. Tickets are on sale now.
On Saturday, May 4 Grande Dunes welcomes the Coastal Carolina Sertoma Club and Habitat for Humanity of Horry County for the second annual Derby Day at Marina Park. Guests are encouraged to dress in their best Derby attire and watch the Run for the Roses on a jumbotron along the Waterway. Live entertainment, food and beverage, games, silent auction and much more are included in the ticketed price, which are on sale now.
The Grande Dunes Summer Movies and Concert Series will be held on Tuesday nights in June, July and August. These family-friendly events are free and open to the public. The movie event dates are: June 11, July 9 and August 6. The concert event dates are: June 25, July 23 and August 20.
Winding down the event season for the year will be a Long Bay Symphony concert and Oyster Roast on Saturday, September 21 and the third annual Ghosts on the Coast Halloween Celebration on Saturday, October 26.
As part of the Grande Dunes Gives Back initiative, Grande Dunes partners with local charity organizations to help raise awareness and collect donations for these charities at each Marina Park event. This year, Grande Dunes will be partnering with the following charities: Community Kitchen of Myrtle Beach; Habitat For Humanity; Coastal Carolina Sertoma Club; Family Justice Center; Backpack Buddies and Help4Kids; Hope House; New Directions; Susan G. Komen; The Salvation Army Angel Tree and The Marine Toys for Tots Program.
The Marina Park at Grande Dunes is a public waterfront music and event lawn overlooking the Grande Dunes Marina and the Intracoastal Waterway. This unique event venue is unlike any other in Myrtle Beach and is the perfect location for public, community and private events all year long.
