We’re so excited that many Grand Strand theaters are reopening!

Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament has been open for a couple of weeks but this weekend The Carolina Opry, Alabama Theatre, and Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show are back for the first time in nearly 6 months! After a day in the sun, a dazzling night at the theater is a great addition to any trip to Myrtle Beach.

Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show and The Carolina Opry will reopen their doors Friday, September 4, and Alabama Theatre begins September 5 -- just in time for Labor Day! Seating will be limited for social distancing, masks will be required, and carefully planned guidelines will be in place.

Calvin Gilmore of The Carolina Opry says, “It’s not what we expected our 35th anniversary season to look like. We have missed our fans, the music, and each other. We are ready to take the stage.” With a laugh, he adds, “Expect a joyful noise.” The Carolina Opry and Time Warp shows will run on a rotating basis through October 26, The Carolina Opry Christmas Special will begin on November 2, as originally scheduled.

The Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show entertainment experience is a swashbuckling adventure featuring pirates battling on deck, in the water, and in the sky above their full-sized pirate ships in an indoor lagoon. Spectacular acrobatic competitions, live animals, and thrilling aerial feats create an immersive adventure experience all while guests enjoy a delicious four-course pirate feast. Jim Rule, CEO of World Choice Investments, LLC, said, “We are excited about being allowed to reopen on September 4 and to resume entertaining families with this unique show. The response to our dinner shows reopening in our other has been very positive. We have a tremendous amount of experience with social distancing in and around our facilities as well as with best practice sanitation and safety procedures for our guests and employees.”

Alabama Theatre has rescheduled its concerts and comedy nights for 2021. Check out their updates for One the Show here: Alabama-Theatre.com/covid19. This show has something for everyone in the family—from side-splitting comedy, perfectly choreographed dance numbers, classic and new age music that we all love to sing along to, and unforgettable reenactments of beloved Broadway shows.
