The Waves of Praise Gospel Festival is coming to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Friday and Saturday, September 6-7, 2019. This two-day festival features an array of local, regional and national gospel groups and performers and admission is free!
Friday is honoree night and weekend jumpoff and performances begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Sheraton Hotel in Ballrooms D and E. Special musical guests include Pastor John P. Kee and Le’Andria Johnson, and other performances will include the Coastal Inspirational Ambassadors and Edwrin Sutton. While admission is free, those who plan on parking at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center (2102 N Oak Street) to attend should plan on paying the $5 parking fee.
Saturday’s events will take place a little closer to the ocean at Burroughs & Chapin Pavilion Place (812 N Ocean Boulevard) in downtown Myrtle Beach and will begin at 2 p.m and end at 10 p.m. Saturday’s attendees will be able to catch performances by a number of gospel artists, including Israel Houghton, Deitrick Haddon, Damon Little, Byron Cage, Maurette Brown Clark, and many more!
Parking for Saturday’s performances can be found at the nearby Pavilion Parking Garage, located at 914 N. Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach. Vendors will be on-site for food, beverages, and souvenirs; there will be a Kid Zone, and bringing a beach chair or blanket is a good idea. No outside food or drinks will be allowed into the festival, but free water will be available.
