BAREFOOT LANDING RED, WHITE & BLUE 5K AND FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION: Thursday, July 4, 7:30 a.m. - 5K run begins will start and end at Lucy Buffett's LuLu's. 7 p.m. music at Dockside Village Amphitheater, Tropical Jammers Steel Drums on the lawn by Johnny Rockets and two shows at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. by unicyclist and juggler Nick Pike in the courtyard in front of Bully’s Pub. MURRELLS INLET BOAT PARADE:  Thursday, July 4, 9:00 a.m. -- The parade launches from Garden City Point, then heads over to the MarshWalk & continues to follow the shoreline south to the Hot Fish Club. Some eateries open @ 8:00 a.m. (Fireworks 10:00 p.m.)

PAWLEYS ISLAND JULY FOURTH PARADE:  Thursday, July 4, 10:00 a.m. – This is an amusing, nostalgic & patriotic parade along Myrtle Avenue, Pawleys Island. (South Causeway closes at 9:15 a.m.) (843) 237-1698

NORTH LITCHFIELD CHILDREN’S FUN PARADE:  Thursday, July 4, 10:00 a.m. – Only unmotorized transportation modes are allowed (bikes, strollers, wagons, etc.) Children of all ages are welcome to participate. Hanover Street, North Litchfield, Pawleys Island. (Roads are blocked around 9:00 a.m.)

CUPCAKE EATING CONTEST:  Thursday, July 4, 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. – Have your cupcakes & eat them too! Eating contest starts at 11:30 a.m. Contestants (must be 18 or older) will have five minutes to eat all the Croissants Bistro & Bakery’s cupcakes they can.
