The 2nd Annual Myrtle Beach Jeep Jam, a three-day festival featuring an obstacle course, car show, live music, raffles, and over 75 vendors and food trucks, heads to the Myrtle Beach area this weekend. Last year’s inaugural Jeep Jam drew over 600 jeeps and event organizers are anticipating that this year’s event will be even larger!

Just a block from the ocean near downtown Myrtle Beach, one of the biggest draws of the festival is the off-road obstacle course that takes multiple days to construct. Here, Jeep owners are able to take their Jeeps through rugged terrain obstacles and a large mud pit. While many attendees will likely be visitors, the event organizer is local and we know a good many locals that make it a point to attend this event. Because Jeep owner or not, there is a lot to see at Jeep Jam.

Saturday night will feature a concert with live music, and other activities like the kids’ zone and cornhole tournament ensure the event has a little something for everyone. The Jeep Jam kicks off at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 5, at the former Myrtle Square Mall site (2501 North Kings Highway) and wraps up at 7 p.m. on Sunday, April 7.  For those interested in attending with their Jeeps (and registering them), the cost is $80. General admission tickets are $5.

With two little boys who love anything with four wheels, I know we’ll be checking it out this weekend! For more information on the 2nd Annual Myrtle Beach Jeep Jam, visit their website at www.mbjeepjam.com.
