A seasonal souvenir to remind you of Christmas at the beach should be on everyone’s wish list! We locals love the holiday season in the Myrtle Beach area… so much so that visitors will find several stores dedicated to Christmas shopping and decorating year-round. From the north end of the Grand Strand inland to further south in Pawleys Island, here are a few of our favorite spots to pick up a Christmas ornament to remind you of your vacation:
This year-round Christmas store has eight locations total and three of them are in the Myrtle Beach area! Visitors will find over 30,000 different ornaments, collectibles, and holiday accessories at all locations. Along the Grand Strand, you can find Christmas Mouse at Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach, in Myrtle Beach at 2306 South Kings Highway, and in Pawleys Island at the Hammock Shops. Each offers something a little different but all offer plenty of Christmas cheer. For hours, visit ChristmasMouse.com.
Gay Dolphin Gift Cove
While not a dedicated Christmas store, the iconic Gay Dolphin Gift Cove does offer a selection of Christmas ornaments, as well as plenty of other fun and unique Myrtle Beach souvenirs. It’s easy to spend an hour perusing everything they offer, and its location along the boardwalk in downtown Myrtle Beach makes it perfect for those searching for other fun afternoon Christmas activities, like the Holidays on the Boardwalk event. The Gay Dolphin is located at 916 Ocean Boulevard in downtown Myrtle Beach.
Christmas At The Beach
Located at popular Broadway at the Beach, Christmas at the Beach is open year-round and always holiday ready! It’s located between Joe’s Crab Shack and Yamato’s and is just a few stores down from Broadway’s 46-foot tree — which is a music and light show in itself! Santa can also be found at Broadway on certain days, so a visit to Christmas at the Beach will easily become a full day of holiday shopping and entertainment fun.
St. Nick Nack’s inside Callahan’s of Calabash
While Callahan’s of Calabash isn’t technically located in the Myrtle Beach area, it’s a popular stop for Myrtle Beach area visitors. It can be found just across the North Carolina/South Carolina state line in Calabash, N.C., at 9973 Beach Drive SW. The nautical gift shop is home to St. Nick Nack’s which now boasts over 150 fully decorated trees and over 4 million ornaments. With so much to choose from, it will be hard to pick just one souvenir ornament!
Southern Living Store
We love ‘Celebrating the South’ here in the Myrtle Beach area, so it should come as no surprise that we’re home to not just one but two Southern Living Stores. While year-round the store features lifestyle products in fashion, food, home decor, garden, and travel, the holiday season boasts a selection of beautiful Christmas decor. Visit The Market Common location at 3064 Howard Avenue, Myrtle Beach, or the Broadway at the Beach location at 1305 Celebrity Circle c116.
