Even if we weren’t there at the time, many longtime visitors are likely familiar with images of the small beach town Myrtle Beach once was. It’s amazing how much has changed over the years. We take Cinco de Mayo seriously in Myrtle Beach. Partly because margaritas and coronas taste better in the South Carolina sunshine and partly because we just love a good fiesta. While one of the more popular annual events, “Burro Fest,” won’t take place this year (the Mexican restaurant that hosts the event is closed for renovations), Broadway at the Beach has announced they’ll be having a party big enough for everyone.
